This house offers great bedroom set up with 3 king suites. There were a few toys for my young kids to play with, which is also appreciated. We loved the closeness to the beach and the views. It’s a great vaca home!

This beach house is great! Everything was as listed and with great hosts, Cynthia and Eric!
Bedrooms were spacious and if bringing the whole family, plenty of room and fun for all. The pool was a great temp, clean and enjoyable. One of the best things about this property is the view from the main deck upstairs. We literally sat out there every minute we had the chance.
We caught the tail end of the tropical storm from Florida on our visit, but that didn't stop us. We were in contact with Cynthia and Eric and with their great instructions and some homeowner experience, we secured the property, and all was fine!
Hoping to return with more people next year so everyone can enjoy it with us!

The house was very clean when we arrived. The house keepers obviously took their time and did a thorough job. The location was excellent and the house had everything we could have possibly needed. We had 6 kids ranging from 7 to 15 and 4 adults. The bedroom arrangements were perfect. Any more would’ve been crowded. We’ve been traveling to OBX every summer for several years now and this was by far the nicest home we’ve been in. The views were spectacular and the beach was only a short walk away. The owners messaged us several times before arriving and gave us some tips for the area. They also provided us with the door code and Wi-Fi password a few days before arrival which made getting into the house easy and stress free. We definitely recommend this property and will probably be staying here again in the future!

Property was as listed. Great beach views and location. House accommodated my family yet there were several king beds that had to be shared. Billiards, pool and hot tub were used often and enjoyed. Overall a great property.

It was clean, furniture was up to date, well supplied kitchen (except dish cloths and towels), pool area was great, well supplied beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, surf board and also an umbrella. Responsive host is always a plus!

A beautiful home that had just about EVERYTHING you could imagine! We had read the comments about no can opener & brought one, just in case but we didn't need it. There were 2 there. We grilled 3 nights & was refunded on the propane we had to go get on the 1st night. Loved the elevator option, my Mom joined us & it was easier for her to go up & down when need be, I may have joined her a few times. (There were A LOT of steps!) The views from the balcony were wonderful! It was quiet too, we had read about the dogs next door but didn't hear them. Having our own pool (heated, it was chilly the first couple days we were there, glad it was an option) & hot tub was a fantastic bonus. The large table to eat at with the family was incredible & made it easy to have meals together.
I would say the only down fall was the beach access. While views were spectacular from the deck area, it was a bit difficult to climb the dune to get to the beach, although coming down was fine. We were able to cut through between a couple houses that others staying at & allowed us to get my Mom there, which was a nice reprieve. There was some construction going on at some new houses next door, which made for some hammering during the morning/day hours a little crummy, along with the nail of one of my son's found in his tire that had to be repaired but obviously no fault of our house owners.
Eric & Cynthia were amazing hosts, responded quickly whenever I needed info or wanted anything. Loved it

This is my family's fourth time to OBX, but our first time in Rodanthe. Let's just say...we didn't want to leave! If you are looking for a beautiful place to just sit back and relax, this is the place to go! Absolutely loved this home. There was plenty of room for our family of 11 and Cynthia (the host) was always quick to respond to any questions! The kitchen was equipped with anything you could possibly need with the exception of a good working can opener! The views of the ocean were great and the sounds were amazing. Our pool guy, Nick, was also amazing and so friendly!! The only complaint I would have is the crotchety old man that lives next door to the house. His dogs bark non stop and he yelled at us for using "his" access to the beach. But we didn't let him ruin our good time. Walked the beach every morning to watch the sun rise...absolutely beautiful!! Collected some cool sea shells (even found a couple of sand dollars). Drove about 7 miles south to check out the 4×4 beach...much quieter than the one in Corolla! So sad to leave but will cherish the memories made!! Thanks Eric and Cynthia for letting us stay at your house!!!

The Ocean view is priceless for morning coffee off the top deck. The house was clean and comfortable for our family group of nine adults. With easy beach access, we will seriously think about booking again next year if this lovely home is available.

My family (7 adults and 3 kids under 3 years old) spent a week here in 2022. The house was perfectly suited our needs. You can tell the owners have kids, for they stocked the house well with everything we needed (pack and plays, toys, a dining room table with an enamel finish that was easy to clean, a high chair, beach toys). The kids were my biggest concern for this trip, but the resources available made it very easy to have them with us.
The beach is a 2 minute walk away, maybe 200 yards. It was easy to move everything to and from the house, including the kids. The house has 5-6 beach chairs, an umbrella, surf board, 2 boogie boards, and beach toys. We’d set up in the morning, cycle to and from throughout the day, and pack up in the evening. Easiest beach days I’ve ever had.
The beaches are quiet and almost private-feeling. It makes you feel like you have your own slice of paradise. All other folks we encountered were friendly - they’d smile and say hi, which was refreshing.
Great trip. Great stay. Highly recommend to those that like quiet time at the beach, especially those with kids.

the house was a perfect location, and had almost everything we needed. I wish there were more towels and hand soap but other than that we had everything we needed! there is also a small sand dune to climb to get to the beach, which could be hard for older family

Six couples from college that had gone their separate ways decades ago reconnected last week for a week on the beautiful beaches of Rodanthe. Creatively named "Blue House" the twelve adults could not have had a better experience.
The late check in is entirely worth it as the hosts ensure that the home was spotless, beds were made, and their guests are ready to unpack and get their great times started.
This home has the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a vacation house. The group cooked all of our meals and the hosts have made sure the kitchen is equipped with enormous 13 inch pans that accomodate cooking scrambled eggs for 12 or tacos for a crowd without having to resort to batch cooking. They provide a slow cooker, two refrigerators, and every utensil you could need. Even the knives were sharp!
Our group overpacked when it came to planning for the beach since you never know what condition the beach chairs that come with a property like this will include. The hosts and prior guests made us feel silly for cramming chairs into the car as the house came with better chairs than what we brought!
I can't recommend blue house enough to families and groups of friends looking for a property thats economic, spacious, and inclusive of everything that you need for a perfect week away.

Great house for large party
We were two families (4 adults and 6 kids). The owers were wonderful: Very responsive and thorough in communications which was GREATLY appreciated. The house offers a lot great things: reliable wifi, netflix, pool table, swimming pool, jacuzzi, great views of ocean, elevator (very helpful for arrival and departure days). The access to the beach is easy "just over the dune" and the outdoor shower is great. The kitchen has everything you need and the house as two full fridge+freezers which was very convenient. Also, one gas grill and two weber charcoal grills. The Washer and Dryer were modern and worked very well. Dont forget to bring TP, PaperTowels, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. No place is perfect. There is ample parking at the end of the road and it is frequented by day trippers which makes the immediate accessible beach more crowded than it would be otherwise. Under the house has poor drainage so it is very difficult to clean out the sand / standing water. One of the master bedrooms does not have any place to hang clothes (closet). Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the home.

Fantastic Week at the Beach
This home was a fantastic place to stay. Our family and friends had a great time. Everything about the house was great, nice sized rooms, plenty of bathrooms, clean, and most of all the location and the spectacular ocean views. We hope to stay here again next year.

Wonderful vacation!
Beautiful property! Enjoyed everything about our stay. We had 10 adults and there was plenty of space for everyone. Owners answered all questions immediately. The kitchen had everything we needed. The pool, hot tub, pool table and beach steps away kept everyone busy. We would definitely go back!

The best beach vacation house ever!
Sand Point is exactly as advertised on VRBO. We had our 2 adult children/spouses and 6 grandchildren. Each family had their own floor and privacy. The house was very clean, well maintained and equipped with dishes, beach chairs, even a surfboard and other beach gear. My favorite spot was the deck overlooking the ocean. It’s just a very brief walk over the dune and you are at the beautiful beach. There was plenty of seating for all of us at mealtimes. We cooked most of our meals. The pool and hot tub was wonderful!! Our youngest grandchild basically learned how to swim that week with coaching from his dad. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The hosts, Cynthia and Eric are very accessible and responsive. You can tell they really care for their house and their guests. We treasure all the memories we made on this year’s great vacation.

Perfect for family vacations! House and location!
Our family spent a week at the home and loved every minute. It has room..lots of room! Room for teenagers to have their space, room for adults to spend time together, room for reading, room for relaxing. The elevator comes in handy for loading and unloading. The pool was great, the hot tub even better, and close access to the beach! We loved it all! And owners answered my questioned quickly, and having used VRBO before, that is huge! We loved OBX!

AMAZING PROPERTY!!!
We traveled to the outer banks the second week of June 2022 with 11 people and kids age ranges from 9-22. We had a fantastic vacation!
First, Cynthia communicated multiple times and we had all the information we needed for a smooth arrival. Which is key after driving 13 hrs with tired kids! When we got to the property we were pleasantly surprised to find that it looked even better than the photos online. The house was spotless and the owners left us enough of the basics to get through that initial night. Also! Before you go to the grocery - check out the condiments, spices, etc. she leaves in the cabinet next to the microwave. This will easily save you $50 in things you do not need to buy. Much appreciated!
The bedrooms are very nice, tons of bathrooms so everyone has privacy, pool table is perfect for keeping teenagers active, tons of toys and board games for the little ones. The pool is heated and plenty of seating. The shower by the pool is ideal for cleaning off sandy toes from the beach. The beach is so close you can easily go back and forth throughout the day. Balconies galore!!! We even saw a deer just chilling out one night next to the house. The house also have Netflix, etc. so you can all watch movies together. The WI-FI works great and there is even great water pressure in all showers… which never seems to happen in vacation homes. Lol
One awesome surprise is that there are 10+ beach chairs in great condition and a handful of boogie boards. We had packed a ton of these items as a backup plan… So save the space in your car and don’t pack chairs!
You are a stone’s throw from Lisa’s Pizza and the food is great. There is a gas station and small grocery store right down the street. We drove out to Kitty Hawk and did souvenir shopping. Ice cream runs, an Escape room, climbed the dunes, ate delicious seafood and went bowling! Be ready for big waves, lot’s of sea shells at the beach, and incredible sunsets, too.
Overall - this is the best place we have stayed on a trip. Worth every penny!

None of that was needed! The home was spotless!! On top of that, the view was remarkable! The sunrise over the ocean and sunset over the sound, who could ask for more? I really loved the reading nook and spent every morning reading a book, drinking coffee, admiring the view of the sound and the ocean... and watching deer grazing in the yard next to us! Then... a walk to "Beads and Beans" coffee shop every morning for a different specialty drink! We definitely got spoiled! I really don't know how the vacation could have been any better!

Home away from home
The house was amazing. It came with everything you could possibly think of to make the stay as easy as possible. The location was perfect. Right off the beach. My family enjoyed both the pool and hot tub. If you go towards the end of April, I would recommend the pool heater. I would definitely rent this hoke again.

Great getaway!
We enjoyed our stay in Rodanthe. The house was well equipped (bring your own hand soap!). The spaces were comfortable and inviting. The views were amazing and the hot tub and heated pool were enjoyed by all! The walk to the beach was super quick, which was important with 6 young kids!

Perfect family vacation 2021
Sand Point was just that perfect place I was looking for my family to spend a relaxed fun week. This oceanfront house has decks on all 3 floors giving a perfect beach/pool view all the time. Deck on the top floor and dinning/sitting area is where we spent most of our time. The heated pool and hot tub was kids favorite place to be. Elevator inside the house was huge bonus to move our luggage in and out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be returning back. Highly recommend this place.

A great place to stay in Rodanthe!
It was our second time staying at this home and everything was great. It is a short walk to the beach and the pool provides a perfect cool-off spot after the ocean. The views are excellent and it is perfectly relaxing. We’ve already booked a week for next week!

I don’t have enough great things to say about both the property and the responsiveness of the owners. This was our first beach trip with our baby girl who is 4 months old and it was her introduction to the beach and pool ! She loved it! Everything was very seamless and the property was very clean and just so wonderful. There were plenty of beach chairs/equipment at the house and the kitchen was well equipped to make some amazing meals and the location was close to a great pizza spot named Lisa’s for a more low key dinner. The seafood spot next to dean Avenue also was fabulous for a seafood bake. I highly recommend this property for a family vacation.

The Perfect Getaway!
I don’t have enough great things to say about both the property and the responsiveness of the owners. This was our first beach trip with our baby girl who is 4 months old and it was her introduction to the beach and pool ! She loved it! Everything was very seamless and the property was very clean and just so wonderful. There were plenty of beach chairs/equipment at the house and the kitchen was well equipped to make some amazing meals and the location was close to a great pizza spot named Lisa’s for a more low key dinner. The seafood spot next to dean Avenue also was fabulous for a seafood bake. I highly recommend this property for a family vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sand Point. We had four families with plenty of room and a great setup. Unfortunately my wife broke her foot two weeks before we came and the elevator became priceless. I would highly recommend staying here.
