Royal Victoria Hotel Snowdonia

Stayed for 2 nights. Pillows and mattress topper were really soft which I liked, like sleeping on a cloud after walking Snowdon. Kettle had no scale which is a big deal to me, I like that attention to detail. Water pressure in the shower was good. Location is perfect, literally at the start of the Llanberis path. From trail exit to room in 2 minutes which was great for me. Felt very safe as a solo traveller. Everyone is chill. Very introvert friendly hotel. I wish I tried out the restaurant, the menu looked pretty good.

Only gripe was the shower handle appeared broken/worn. It was hard to tell visually which side was on/off or hot/cold. Nearly scalded myself the first time trying to figure it out. It looked like the markings worn off. Nobody really wants to be fiddling with a nob for that long after a busy day. If you have long feet, take extra care stepping out of the shower. The bottom door guard panel is fairly sharp and if you have long feet you can easily hit your foot or toe on it.

Good hotel in a great location for climbing Snowdoia. Good breakfast in the morning to get your day started and get you going for the adventure ahead. Right at the bottom of the "easiest" route and by the railway. On-site parking is a bonus and saves you from paying for parking during the walk.

Ideal location at the start of Snowdon trek. Clean room and comfortable bed.

The room and particularly bathroom quite small for the price. The two lifts to get to the third floor were far apart and it took some time to navigate to the room with suitcases. The restaurant dinner menu was limited, although there was more choice in the bar.
