Charming town with picturesque views, well worth a visit. It is a good place to stay a few days as you are beside a beach, restaurants and places to visit. Lovely owners!

Directons were confusing, and it would really help if there were a name on the property. As we didn't realise when we had arrived. There is just a door, even the name of the adjoining restaurant would help.

The owner was very sweet. The room was so clean and nice. The position was perfect. The room was ideal for our 2 children to sleep in their own room but not be in a seperate space from us.

The bathroom being in the kids room meant that we had to try really hard not to wake them up if they were sleeping when we used it.

Casa Palombaro is located in Le Grazie which is a short drive from La Spezia and a 10 mins drive to Portovenere. The room was comfy and spacious, and it had access to a balcony that had a view of the main square and harbour. They also provided tea and coffee and some muffins. The town itself has some bars and restaurants - we went at the end of September mid-week and some were close, but otherwise, plenty of restaurants less than a couple of mins walks.

The room can be a bit noisy because of the downstairs cafe and the square in front. Nothing too loud and never too late but if you had an early day and you want an early night, that might be a problem. The bathroom was a bit outdated and small with not much space to put your toiletries; we also had a problem with the soap dish in the shower that kept falling. We were mainly disappointed by the breakfast since reviewers spoke highly of it. However, you are given a voucher for a bar close by (2 min) to have either a coffee or cappuccino or orange juice and a croissant. It felt a bit flat and I would have expected something more. The bar owner was great though! They also gave us a small gift: a pack of typical Ligurian pasta and a jar of pesto. It was a great touch, however, even though the pasta seemed artisanal, the pesto was a supermarket brand bought in the Carefour next door. If you want to go above and beyond, do it right or don't do it at all.
