This is the most wonderful hotel with impeccable service. The food is excellent and breakfast amazing. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. A stay here is an experience not to be missed. A lovely setting next to the river surrounded by woods and near to many sights to visit.

Everything was great. It would be useful to have access to tea making facilities.

The drive up to the "Castle" was amazing. The location was amazing. The breakfast was really good.

The "Castle" was drab and not what one would expect considering who owns this place [Villeroy & Boch]. Our allocated room was about as basic as one could get, I guess the good price should have made the stay more pleasant but the drab room on the top floor, with no lift, was lacking in charm. Travelling "Third Class" is to be avoided to get a better experience. In our room we had a faulty light, we had blood stains on the bed sheets, we had NO Blind/Shutter on the one small window to reduce the light from outside as we slept [It was broken beyond repair], the Shower Head was more geriatric than me!
