Location was central and easy access to all surroundings. Price is affordable.

When I checked in i was not informed about load shedding. All TVs and lights were working but I tried charging my electronics that I needed for my business trip and there was no power. This is how I found out there was load shedding. I proceeded to ask about this at the front desk and received sloppy service as response from staff. A very blasé response. Breakfast was not ready when I needed to leave, but a breakfast pack as a "takeaway" option was offered and I accepted. I requested for scramble eggs and toast only as I am Muslim. Luckily i checked before leaving and smelt there was bacon in there! This is my 2nd visit to Oakhurst on a business trip and unfortunately I cannot say that I will be back. The rooms need to be updated throughout and the staff service should be heavily improved. Very disappointed unfortunately.

Reputation and court yard

Poorly kept, not maintained. More like a ghost house now, no hive of activity as 6 years ago when I spent time there.

Location is good..... Central and c lose to restaurants. Nice swimming pool. The room was comfortable. Nice linen and bed. Aircon worked well.

The buffet breakfast was not nice . The water as well as coffee coffee machine was out of order. The beers were not cold at all as the fridge was not working well.

More planning should be done to accommodate guests during loadshedding since a schedule is available. Recommendations includes: 1. Provide rechargeable lights in room and passage ways, especially during the night 2. Boil water and store in flasks that can be accessible to guests for coffee & tea needs 3. Ensure that someone is available to open the gate at the back parking area (grass area behind hotel) in the mornings. The security is available and assist at night which was great. But nobody available in the day, which means that guests needs to open and close the big gate themselves 3. Provide guests with notifications in the rooms indicating the loadshedding shedules 4. Provide guests with notifications in the rooms on impact of loadshedding with providing meals for lunch / supper . Indicate if lunch / supper will not be available, or indicate at what time orders should be placed taking into account loadshedding schedule

Nothing in particular stood out for me. The hotel is rated four star but based on my experience it is probably worth three stars.

The room felt cold and bare. The electrical fittings of the hotel is quite disappointing. The leads and cords are not hidden or trucked. The shower had some stains which indicates poor cleaning etiquette on the teams side.
