It is a traditional wood building.
Every door needs to be handled with care.

A great location - in an older part of the city and very close to transport. The common area upstairs was excellent and the ryokan was very quiet. The ryokan is unattended for most of the day as the reception area is in another building. There is keypad access for everything.
Our room was small and dark but comfy.

Great location, quiet area of typical Japanese houses, warm welcome.
The place was a bit small.

The ryokan is in a nice and convenient location. Overall the stay can be comfortable if you are travelling light or without much luggage. The rules, check-in, and check-out process were all very clear and easy to follow. The staff were also helpful and able to answer any questions we had, which made the stay smooth and straightforward.
The main downside for us was the lack of space. The room felt quite cramped, especially when travelling with luggage, and it was not very comfortable to move around or spend much time in. We also did not find the atmosphere particularly romantic or traditional. Apart from the tatami flooring and paper walls, it felt more practical than like a true traditional ryokan experience.

"Atmosfera realmente antica, un tuffo nel tempo che vale la spesa, meno economica di un tradizionale hotel."
