We stayed at Royal Agate Beach Resort for four nights and had a very pleasant experience overall. We booked a twin room, but were kindly upgraded to a Twin Deluxe, which was a lovely gesture. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel takes a RM50 security deposit at check-in, which is returned after checkout, so something worth knowing in advance. Our room was on the fifth floor and had a lovely sea view.Even the corridor on that floor offers a nice view towards the sea. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean, and the housekeeping service was good throughout our stay. The location is one of the biggest advantages. It’s right on the Pantai Cenang road, surrounded by restaurants, shops and markets, while the beach is only around a 5–6 minute walk away. The hotel also has a swimming pool, open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Another highlight was the rooftop breakfast. For RM18 per person, there was a good selection of food, and having breakfast with a beautiful view towards the beach made it even better. Overall, we were very happy with the stay and felt it offered good value for what we paid. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Pantai Cenang. There wasn’t much to complain about. The only small issue was the bathroom drainage. The floor drain was positioned a little far from the main wet area, so water tended to remain on the bathroom floor after showering. Apart from that, everything was comfortable and we had a very enjoyable stay.
