Beautiful views from this house of the ocean and part of Funchal. House was in a quiet neighborhood and close walk to cafes, restaurants, and small produce/grocery store. Larger grocery store is near as well. Host met us at the location to give us keys and show us the property and rooms. Our flight was significantly delayed so we did not get in until after 2am, but they still happily met us there (they did charge us a late check-in fee though). They gave us a nice welcome gift of snacks and wine. Overall a very nice place to stay on Madeira with our family. Hosts were friendly, helpful and responsive.

The pool heating was not turned on early enough. We stayed 5 days, but the first few days it was still very cold (I measured the temperature). I don't think it was turned up to the temperature specified. After mentioning this to staff they turned it up and finally on the last two days we could swim. We still had to pay for 5 days of heating, which they should probably partially refund.

The house was great and the views were amazing. Cristo Rei beach was stunning!

Only thing I missed was water pressure in the shower. Had to wait a long time for warm water and when it finally came it came out really slow.

Very spacious, fabulous views and a very clean and pleasant pool. Beautiful wooden floors and lots of windows so nice and bright. Private parking garage was great and easy to access. Outdoor space is plentiful and very clean. Wi-Fi good but didn’t work in furthest away bedroom (maybe a booster would help).

No bin bags on arrival. No fans (in the absence of air con) albeit sure this can be arranged if requested. Some construction nearby but you heard less when sat pool side. Also build was moving at pace so don’t imagine it will go on for much longer. Some of the kitchen utensils were very old and could do with replacing. Other than that great property and good value. The views alone are worth it....stunning! :)

This is a superb property, in a fabulous location...in some ways the description of the accommodation and pictures don't do it full justice. We spent many hours relaxing on the amply proportioned sundeck and beautiful pool. The views (and sunsets) are spectacular. The property is close enough to Funchal to be easily accessible, to enjoy all this fabulous city has to offer, but is also benefits from being very close to a thriving and local community and restaurants.

The keys were easy to collect, but unfortunately I took a wrong turn and ended up on the way to Funchal. The only minor criticism....and it is only minor...is that some of the outdoor furniture, and one or two of the indoor furniture items looked and felt a little "tired" and would benefit from updating. It is no fault of the owner of this property but the serene and quiet atmosphere was broken occasional by nearby construction noise and a barking dog

Beautiful view of the sea from all bedrooms and living areas. A number of delightful external sitting areas with sea views and views of Funchal. Private. Very large villa with 4 excellent bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and generous open plan dining/sitting room plus pool. Good local amenities close at hand. Quick access to the main motorway and airport.
