The location was close to places we wanted to visit. The room was clean and tidy.
When we arrived at the motel, they couldn't find my booking, which had been made nearly 4 months in advance. Luckily I had printed my booking.com confirmation email to show him. He told me we could sort it out in the morning.. apparently it didn't show in his system until around 11pm the night we arrived. We didn't have this issue when we stayed in Margaret River the night before.. which was booked at the same time.
The room we were placed in, had issues with its hot water system. The owner (Im guessing) showed us how to reset if needed. He noted that he hadn't planned on putting anyone in that room. Also, There was no hand soap or dishwashing liquid in the room.
It put a dampener on our little holiday.
