The guesthouse is located within walking distance to Main st. The hosts are wonderful and accommodating, they make you feel at home and the communal areas are equipped with everything you need to make yourself at home (microwave to heat up leftovers and extra tea/coffee). The balcony off the bedroom has lovely views of the mountain range. Breakfast is a feast in itself!

Amazing stay! First of all the warm welcome of the owners, they are so kind in general and also helpfull! They take service to another level. Also loved the room and the patio they have made. And the breakfast is very very good as well. So we very mucb enjoyed our stay! 10/10!

We had the best time at Franmarel thanks to Francois and Marina - the friendliest most welcoming hosts we had our entire trip! Jessie the dog was also extremely hospitable! The room and outdoor area was very homely and large, slept very well and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning (loved the freshly baked croissants). Would 100% recommend anyone to stay here, fantastic location and view - no need to look anywhere else in Plettenberg Bay!

Everything about this stay was amazing. The views from the deck, perfect location, clean room, homemade treats to go along with the delicious cooked to order breakfast! Hosts are incredibly welcoming and have a wealth of knowledge on what to do/where to eat/etc regarding the area.

Beautifull terrace overlooking the bay, comfortable appartment and cherry on the cake two wonderfull hosts. Francois and Marinda you love to make people feel at home and that is a great feeling. Marinda your breakfast made my day. By the way great wifi.

Exceptional hospitality, lovely couple Fran and Marinda. Best breakfast of the entire 2 week trip from Cape Town along the Western Cape. Super helpful in local knowledge, taxis, laundry… you man’ name it.

For the money it has all we expected and was great.

This was the best place on our whole Garden Route trip. The room is huge and has so many nice details, like a bath robe or drinks. The view from the common terrace is stunning and waking up every morning to this just makes your day. Everything is spotless clean and beautifully arranged. The best of all though are the wonderful owners Francoise and Marinda. They are the nicest people who will give you so many great tips and really make you feel at home. Every morning they prepare an amazing breakfast and make sure you have everything you need. We spent 3 nights there but could have stayed so much longer. 100% recommendation.
