Apartment 2 bedroom modern self catering on 5 star Tortuga Resort on the beach
Abbiamo un grande appartamento di lusso chiamato Blue Lagoon che si trova nel Melia Tortuga Beach Resort & Spa a 5 stelle a Capo Verde sull'isola di Sal, inaugurato nel maggio 2011. Il nostro appartamento è unico in quanto può ospitare fino a 6 persone in due ampie camere da letto e un comodo divano letto nel soggiorno. Ha anche due bagni. È solo circa 10 minuti di auto dall'aeroporto di Sal. Il Tortuga Resort si trova in una tranquilla posizione fronte mare a breve distanza a piedi dalla città di Santa Maria, che è la principale città turistica di Sal. Di notte Santa Maria vanta un'atmosfera vivace con una buona scelta di bar e ristoranti.
Il nostro appartamento è un moderno e spazioso appartamento con 2 camere da letto con 2 bagni ed è situato all'ultimo piano con un ampio balcone. Ha una vista parziale sul mare
Si differenzia dagli altri appartamenti del resort in quanto è un appartamento deluxe con servizi aggiuntivi e tocchi personali. Ad esempio, mentre gli altri appartamenti sono arredati in modo identico, abbiamo decorato il nostro appartamento con opere d'arte uniche e interessanti provenienti dai proprietari di artisti locali. Questo aiuta a creare un'atmosfera rilassante e una sensazione per la cultura locale. Abbiamo anche acquistato un secondo divano in pelle per il soggiorno per garantire la presenza di ampi posti a sedere per un gruppo di massimo 6 persone. Normalmente c'è solo un divano in dotazione, ma abbiamo ritenuto che ciò fosse insufficiente per i nostri ospiti. Il divano aggiuntivo si trasforma in un comodo letto matrimoniale, se necessario. La Laguna Blu è anche unica in quanto abbiamo posti a sedere in balcone per 6 persone anziché i 4 posti standard. Ulteriori tocchi includono specchi da toeletta con scaffalature nelle camere da letto, zanzariere su ogni finestra e porta finestra e abbiamo un rubinetto del filtro dell'acqua in cucina che fornisce acqua potabile sicura. C'è una cartella di benvenuto preparata con cura che contiene informazioni importanti locali come numeri di emergenza, ristoranti locali
Il resort comprende un hotel a 5 stelle Sol Melia con servizi completi che possono essere utilizzati dai nostri ospiti. Le fantastiche strutture di Tortuga includono 2 piscine d'acqua dolce, 4 ristoranti tra cui un reggiseno mediterraneo / italiano, ristorante sportivo, spa e beach club.
Il Tortuga Beach Resort ospita 4 bar, tra cui il bar della hall, il bar dello sport, il bar della spiaggia e il bar a bordo piscina.
C'è anche una piscina per bambini e un mini club per bambini, un lussuoso centro benessere, una palestra con attrezzature all'avanguardia, intrattenimento serale regolare, reception / portineria 24 ore su 24 e una varietà di negozi

Our stay was fabulous. The apartment was as described had everything we could have needed and more and on a lovely resort complex a two min taxi ride or 20min walk into nearest town if you wanted bur also restaurants and bars close by if you didnt want go far from apartment. Highly recommend. Great communication from owners. To get a real feel explore the island its amazing!

We had a great time and really enjoyed our holiday. The flat was very comfortable and well-equipped. The African art deco was impressive. The terrace was a big bonus, as we were able to eat outside. It was an advantage being on the Tortuga complex, as we were able to use all the facilities of the hotel. The beach and ocean are amazing. We did a tour of the island which has spectacular scenery.
There's a lot of info in the flat, left by Clyde, which we found very useful, regarding places to visit, eat etc. Clyde was very quick to reply to our mails, and the couple of minor problems we had in the flat (broken kettle!) were remedied promptly.
If you want to eat in, the kitchen has everything you need. If you want to eat out, the hotel restaurants are good, but not cheap by CV standards. There's a great restaurant on the beach at Ponta Preta - fantastic fresh fish. If you phone they'll pick you up and return you to the hotel for free. It's walkable during the day, - just along the beach from the hotel - but not in the evening.
The walk into Santa Maria is a bit of a trek (at least for people of our age): best to get a taxi for 3 euros. But it is worth visiting the town.
I think what we'll remember most about the holiday were the people: everybody was so friendly, helpful, smiling and happy. It was great!

The apartment was lovely. Spacious living and dining area and 2 nice rooms.The complex was very pleasant too and the beach was beautiful.We would have liked morning sun on the balcony but you can't have everything ! We had some minor problems with the property which were very quickly sorted out by the owner.Santa Maria had some very nice restaurants which was fortunate as eating in the hotel is very very expensive.The evening entertainment was loud but it finished at 10 pm so that was perfectly fine.It's definiltely a beach holiday as there is not much else to do on Sal.Weather was very nice.

Other than a poor spell of weather, which can't be blamed on the owners, we had just about an absolutely perfect holiday. People were really friendly and helpful and the location was spot-on.
Although slightly further from the beach than I would have liked, the walk through the complex was very pleasant and often amusing. The apartment itself was excellent, with everything we could have needed. Lunches and breakfasts were easily prepared, but ease of travelling (taxis available from reception) and a wide variety of choice in Santa Maria meant eating out was never a chore.
Although there were numerous smaller café/bars serving enjoyable local produce at very reasonable prices, fine dining was also available around the pier and beachfront. The only disappointment in all this was the lack of desserts, although on the bright side, it does help the figure.
As mentioned by the owner, Ponta Preta is well worth a visit. A 20 minute walk along the beach, the view itself is worth the walk, this small restaurant, has a great atmosphere, a great view and a well-priced menu and the staff are friendly and attentive. If you go nowhere else, please visit Ponta Preta.
All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, although as stated, the weather was pretty poor, cloudy and very windy and we would recommend this apartment as a great base.
