The staff were amazing! The guy that checked us in and the lady that served us at breakfast. They made the trip really.
The room was decent but average on cleanliness.

Friendly staff, excellent room and cleanliness. Restaurant food was superb.
Scary narrow road on way up to Hotel

Beautiful building with lots of history. Immaculate gardens and great views towards the coast, and on site free parking with plenty of spaces. Walking distance to Sandsend (about half an hour steady walk) but beware the hill coming back! Lovely and plentiful breakfast.
The room was quite small but adequate. WiFi was rather weak.
Expensive taxi to Whitby - (£18.00 each way) - forget Uber, they were a no-show both ways…

Beautiful building and furniture. Adequate parking.Good bar facilities
The WiFi did not work in the bedroom
The cooked breakfast was appalling and comprised of 'kept warm' food nothing was cooked fresh. Poor selection of fruit for breakfast.. who eats dried banana slices for breakfast?
Tea was 'make your own' using hot water flasks.
The toast was also make your with about 4 loaves of white and brown sliced bread in 4 piles. No pastries
