Maritim Hotel Magdeburg

Our stay at the hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was very spacious, and the two single beds were a great addition to the large queen bed. It was equipped with a minibar, which was very convenient for keeping our drinks cold. Both the room and the bathroom were extremely clean, quite the opposite of what some other guests had mentioned (take it from a cleanliness-obsessed traveler :D !). The breakfast was excellent. The pool was small but nice for children. The hotel also offers a large underground parking garage for about 20 euros per night. The location is great as well, close to the Altstadt and some nice restaurants. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

If I had to complain about something, it would be the elevators, which are too few for a hotel of this size. Having only two elevators per side is below standard. They are also a bit inconvenient to use, as you must scan your room card each time. Another minor complaint is that the hotel staff are not very responsive via email or Booking.com, though they often answer by phone. However, when they do respond, they are very polite and friendly.

lack of food facilities after 9 pm. I don`t expect restaurant at the hotel to be open late but some local food providers menus at the reception could be helpful.
