The staff were very friendly, and so helpful. Pauline told me all about the history of the house hotel when I enquired. It was very charming and had a family feeling to it.

The location and grounds were lovely
The tv couldn’t play sky news and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in

Beautiful setting, well attended gardens.
Room was very pleasant, good size for 3 people with ample terrace.
Firm and very comfortable bed with crisp white bedding.
Decor inside hotel lovely.
Found previous guest lipstick under the bed.
Room extremely hot, even with fan/window open.
Housekeeping disappointing. We stayed for 3 nights and refreshments not topped up properly and relevant for 3 people in the room each morning, no clean mugs one of the days, bathroom bin not emptied each day.
First morning, breakfast was not ready at 7.30am as advertised (we had a wedding, so needed to be prompt).
Second and third morning arrived approx 9.15am, was comfortably busy but got a table straight away.
Tables around us had not been cleared. Had to hunt the waiter to order tea/coffee.
Soda bread/croissants/condiments etc not constantly topped up.
Spent a lot of our time asking or waiting for things.
Just not enough waiters and inexperienced. Spoilt the breakfast experience.
