Station Hotel

All the staff I encountered were very helpful and friendly. I had a couple of evening meals at the hotel, and the food was very good.

The hotel is located a little further out of the town centre than I originally realised, but it was quiet at night though. My room was on the top floor and had a sloping ceiling, so I constantly worried about bumping my head when moving around the room.

The Station Hotel in Ellon has a lovely warm cosy friendly feeling, spotlessly clean and the breakfast is awesome.

Having to leave…

1. Its location in Ellon. Ellon is also ideally located for visiting Aberdeenshire’s attractions, castles, and monuments, and is very close to Aberdeen. 2. At first, I liked that the hotel looked clean. 3. The mattress, bedding, kettle, and the room in general were good. 4. The plates, cups, and cutlery were clean and of good quality. 5. The staff were very polite and helped me with my luggage, as my room was on the top floor. 6. The food and service at the restaurant were very good.

1. The management should ensure that the rooms are thoroughly cleaned. I found a hair at the back of the toilet bowl, which indicates that the toilet had not been cleaned properly. This left me dissatisfied. 2. The bathroom with the shower was very small. The water pressure was very weak, and there was no small shelf in the shower where I could place my shampoo and shower gel while showering. I found this very uncomfortable. 3. The breakfast was just average. The orange juice was of poor quality—it appeared to be from a bottle or can, despite the menu describing it as fresh juice. The coffee was also poor. I also happened to check the date on a portion of margarine and found that it had expired in June 2026. 4. The lady serving breakfast was very polite, but it would have been better if her hair had been neatly tied back and covered, especially as she was also preparing food in the kitchen. I am fully aware of what a two-star hotel can offer. The points that disappointed me are matters that simply require a little more attention. Addressing them would have made my stay more satisfactory and would have allowed me to rate the hotel without any negative comments.

Clean and tidy

Needed to leave early and was told breakfast from 7:30 , no one around it seemed to be available for breakfast
