Hotel West California

The Hotel is a surprisingly expansive and multi-tiered spread of amenities and beautiful gardens down the hillside from the main road to Armenia from the airport. Pool, jacuzzi, small playground lead to the open-air gym, lounge with games and TV, and a large pavilion restaurant. It’s definitely a location built for hosting large parties and gatherings like a wedding but was relatively low occupancy during my stay which made it quite peaceful. They upgraded me to a larger room with a big jacuzzi tub gratis, let me extend my staff at a discounted rate at my plans changed last minute, and allowed me a very late checkout for a late afternoon flight. The staff were so nice and act like a great team. My Spanish is so-so at best and they were patient and easy to chat with. You’ll see them laughing and eating meals together at the restaurant. Every interaction from the first messages on WhatsApp to check-in, meals, and asking for help looking for a lost item made me feel really cared for in a way formal hotels or resorts never do.

La ubicación al borde de carretera muy conveniente. Buena atención. Todo limpio. Nos gustó el desayuno y las hamburguesas!!

The service at the breakfast time is not good. The food was run out at 9 am, not eggs ready etc... when I asked for a glass of water they said that they didn’t have water, what????
