Beautifully decorated, spacious home. Harbour views & short walk to town & beach
The Captain's House è una proprietà quotata Grade II in posizione splendida e spaziosa con vista sul porto di Falmouth e Carrick Roads. La casa fu costruita nel 1832 e ha molte caratteristiche d'epoca superbamente conservate. Offre molto spazio per la famiglia e gli amici per rilassarsi e godersi il tempo a Falmouth; con due salotti, una grande sala da pranzo e cucina al piano terra più una sala giardino che conduce a un giardino terrazzato privato sul retro della casa. Al piano superiore quattro camere da letto disposte intorno a una grande sala offrono dormire per otto. C'è un rimessaggio sicuro per due auto e un parcheggio fuoristrada per un'altra auto. Gli ospiti possono lasciare la propria auto nel parcheggio custodito e godersi a piedi tutto ciò che Falmouth ha da offrire.
Riposando sulla cresta sopra Customs House Quay, la Captain's House dista solo cinque minuti a piedi dal famoso Museo Marittimo, da negozi, ristoranti, pub, gallerie d'arte e crociere sul porto. Quindi a soli 10 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia sabbiosa di Gyllyngvase e 15 minuti a piedi da Pendennis Head.
Il giardino privato ha un barbecue e sedie da giardino per il divertimento tranquillo.

I had a fantastic holiday staying in this wonderful large house. Plenty of room for all of us. Stayed there with my husband and daughter son in Law and Grandchildren. You could see the harbour from the front bedrooms. Although a hilly walk back from the town it only took 5 minutes to get to the house. Very close to beach restaurants and pubs. Could walk to everything. The house had a garage which could fit 2 cars which was a huge bonus as not a lot of places in Falmouth have car parking. The owner messaged us to say the house was ready earlier than expected on arrival day which was great.Kitchen had plenty of equipment with a huge dining room off it.We would stay here again.

Captains House was exactly what we needed. Big enough for family members to have their own space to relax in while still being a family home.
The location was ideal for easy access to the town and waterfront but also to feel a bit more ‘local’ and be able to go to neighbourhood pubs, jog routes off the main thoroughfare and not be overwhelmed with noise and people.

Very nice house, spacious rooms and very convenient location. Very disappointing fridge/freezer - it is old, badly in need of a defrost and inadequate for the size of the house. The dishwasher wasn't properly fitted and could easily tilt forward with any weight on the open door. The shower hose leaks badly and needs replacing. Also, only 2 dishwasher tablets left and no black plastic bags left, even though there is a request to place bed linen and towels in black bags. For a £300 service charge that's poor. Other than those things it's a comfortable and convenient house for a holiday. We'd stay again if the faults were fixed.
