The location. Room was very simple but we knew that, no complaints, bed was fine, it was quiet when we were there, lovely spot to take a good walk after a long car journey, and unexpectedly good breakfast the next morning with lots of choices. And well kept grounds, gardens were well looked after. It’s quite a big set up, we can imagine ideal for families in the high season.

Lovely setting and staff very welcoming.
Rooms are a tad small and if you don’t want to eat at the hotel you have to drive as nothing really changes n walking distance.
