Perfect location for what I wanted to do. 4 mins from bus to centre, cafes & shops and also buses to Amsterdam, Haarlem & Schiphol. Lovely to walk too in the nearby sand dunes and ride around on the super easy bicycle that was provided. Plenty of tea & coffee & sweets!

There was nothing really that didn’t suit me. Personally I prefer homely to super modern…

Close to the citi center, every day our room was Cleaning, the towels were changing too, the owner was polite, friendly and take care of us. If we visit the citi we are more then sure to stay it back here.

Everything was nice.

The room was nice however the bed was not the comfiest, with two single mattresses on a double bed frame. The bathroom was okay but very small. The whole room was clean.

What I was most disturbed about was (presumably) the owner had been in the room and moved things including my stuff around the room when I was out despite the room being locked. There are no "do not disturb" signs so I expected the locked door to mean do not disturb however that was clearly not the case. In the end, I had to fly home early due to a family emergency, however, I am not sure I would have stated in any event and with the cost the same as the 4* hotel in Amsterdam, I was expecting more than a room in someone's house with an owner who came into the room and shifted my stuff.

The bed was soooo comfortable. I slept well, like on clouds. The room was very bright and inviting. The room was near the dunes, where I did my exercises. That was fun!

The doorknob to my room was a bit loose. Also, there was no hand shower.

We, my wife & I didn't reserve breakfast service. However, we liked the calm quiet atmosphere. We also liked the selection of drinks provided in the room's mini-bar, as well as the great prices. Furthermore, we enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea.

We didn't like: (1) the old-like smell of the stairway leading up to the room. (2) The unpleasant smell that was often coming from some-place in the bathroom. (3) The 2-light fixtures in the room that were hanging down, and looked like at any moment they would fall on the floor. (4) In the shower, there were no hooks, shelves or anything to hang a bathing cloth on, or to put shampoo, soap or anything else on. (5) The room had no hangers for coats, jackets, or anything else that needed to be hung.
