Very comfortable hotel about 7/8mins walk from the beach. Large room with air-con. Simple but good breakfast (not a buffet) provided by the on-site restaurant which is not owned by the hotel. The restaurant owner is exceptionally accommodating- producing breakfast as early as 5.15am for those goon tours. Hotel has a good pool.

Clean, well equipped, great staff
No children’s menu offered and when we asked the chef if he could do a small bowl of plain pasta or noodles for our five year old we were advised that yes, he could, but it would be $17!

Pool, room & balcony, restaurant/bar, amazing staff, conveniently located, the wildlife (we saw many different types of birds, iguanas, and other lizards). Just a heads up there are many birds and dogs close by. The birds get their day started pretty early with lots of noise, about 5am, on top of that there is a neighborhood dog that barks a lot at night. Drake Bay is a super small town surrounded by wildlife, so you better be aware and be ready for the noise no matter where you stay.
Not really anything. Would absolutely stay again if we every find our way back to Drake Bay Costa Rica.

Amazing place, peaceful and so beautiful. The staff is super helpful and the help of Mauricio was priceless helping us to get back our luggage lost in the airport. He also provided us a superior room for free. Best experience we had in Costa Rica

Great location. Short walk to the beach. Excellent food. Laundry service. Super nice and helpful staff. Dehumidifier provided was helpful for drying our wet clothes each day in the bathroom more efficiently.
We had two very large windows but they looked out into the hallway/seating nook instead of outside. Luckily privacy curtains covered them all but natural light would have been nice. Only outside window was a small one in the shower.

Gorgeous terrace to lounge at, food was excellent, beds were comfortable, shower had great water pressure, plus they accommodate early breakfast when you want to go to Corcovado (5am)

Everything - the room, kitchen, friendly staff, we saw a toucan from our bathroom. The restaurant is great too. The swimming pool was awesome during the heat.

Very clean, helpful staff, excellent chef (such great food!!) wonderful room with A/C and a balcony. Staff was fantastic, helped us book a snorkeling tour and provided great recommendations on things to do and see.

Lovely hotel - everything spotlessly clean. Great location with views over the forest to the sea. The manager was extremely helpful and arranged a 4 x 4 overland transport to our next destination (Puerto Jiminez). Much quicker and cheaper than the alternative of Boat and long and expensive taxi ride.
On our arrival by boat (wet landing) the promised taxi was not waiting for us. Easy to fix for future customers

We couldn’t have asked for more from our stay at hotel margarita. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful in setting up tours for our stay, giving information about places to eat and making sure we had transportation to/from our boat arrival and departure. The restaurant located inside the hotel was great and even accommodate breakfast at 5:20 am before visiting Corcovado park. The rooms were very clean and had well functioning ac and even a dehumidifier which was really useful here. Definitely recommend hotel margarita to anyone visiting drake bay!

The first room we got had a funky moldy smell, but luckily the receptionist was very understanding and we were upgraded to a top notch room which was absolutely stunning. Wonderful bed, nice balcony and lots of space

Mauricio was very friendly, responsive and helpful. He helped us to organize a snorkeling tour last minute on Christmas Day, and transportation to the airport. The room was nice and clean, with A/C and hot shower.

We had a really big corner room with panorama windows on two sides. The view into the trees was amazing. And right there was a tree with fruit that toucans liked! Among other birds of course. We also liked the pool area and location of the hotel.
The bathroom was lovely and large but without proper odor traps. The smell was unpleasant.

Marisio was a wonderful host. Head chef super nice as well as bar service young lady.
First night in standard room seemed as if we were in the basement and had a funky smell. Marisio moved us to a suite which was very nice and quiet.

Our stay at hotel Margarita was amazing! Really nice and clean room and the staff is super friendly. We have booked a snorkling tour with the hotel and everything worked perfectly. Dinner at the restaurant was super delicious!

Not much of a welcome, staff were barely visible, door locks were poor, French doors would t close properly, very noisy neighbours, dogs barking constantly and very loud music from a neighbouring house. Not much room around the pool for sunbeds. separate businesses for hotel and restaurant therefore restaurant staff unhelpful with request for milk to go in coffee in the room. reluctantly gave ice. creamy bed.

The Chef at the hotel restaurant was top notch. He spoke English and was very receptive to our dietary needs. He was a fantastic cook and we ended up eating there many times: sea bass, Mahi-Mahi, salmon, fantastic sauces that made everything fabulous.
Actually, it is kind of funny, but it took us a couple of days to realize that the hot water on the faucet in the bathroom was the handle on the right not the left. We did object to the neighboring dogs who barked all night, so we had to run the air conditioner all night to block the noise.
