We had the most wonderful stay at Apartments Marvela honestly, it was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. The receptionist was incredibly lovely and welcoming, and we absolutely loved our room. It was on the second floor with an ocean view and a beautiful balcony. The apartment was extremely spacious, peaceful and quiet. The kitchen was very well equipped with practically everything you could need if you wanted to cook. We also really liked the bathroom, especially the lovely message on the wall that you can see reflected in the mirror it was such a thoughtful touch. The cleaner was wonderful too. She came every day to do a light clean, our towels were changed every three days and our bed linen every five days. The location is fantastic. It’s extremely close to several beautiful beaches, including Praia do Pinhão, Praia do Camilo and Praia Dona Ana, while Lagos city centre is only around a 10-minute walk away. If you’re unsure whether to book, don’t hesitate. The value for money is exceptional, especially considering the size, location, views and overall experience. We would happily stay here again!

The host that was on reception when we collected our keys was a lovely lady. The apartments are very clean in a good location. The only downside is that you can hear a lot from neighbours such as the family upstairs moving furniture around was very loud in our unit. The view and location are great and if you are just looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay and not worried about a pool then it's good value.

Although the apartment was clean and smart (if you like minimalism) there were issues in the bathroom. The choice of materials used (concrete floor/hard rendered walls and wooden sink surround) in the original build have not proved robust. Lots of smudges/stains and a general feel of shabbiness was evident. However, I believe the bathroom was cleaned satisfactorily despite appearances.
