El Cid

Excellent hotel in terms of price-performance ratio. Normal room with a really comfortable bed. Daily cleaning. Breakfast again in terms of price is completely sufficient - from hot food there are always eggs, bacon, beans, sausages. Sparkling wine for breakfast is always a pleasure and it is available :-) I will mention a few more details that will also please. The breakfast tables stand firmly on the ground, they do not wobble (you know when you want to cut some food and the table starts to tilt, you spill all your drink - there is no danger of that here). What is a nice detail: the "Dont disturb" sign is solved here in the form of a magnet, which in my opinion is excellent. From the door handle, which is the solution of most hotels, the signs fall and then you collect them all over the corridor. The pool also looked nice, clean. But I cannot describe it in detail, because I was not directly near it (I go to the sea, I can be at home by the pool). Of course, for that price you can't expect gold door handles and gold shower heads, you can't expect caviar for breakfast, but overall it's a really cool hotel.

The walls are really thin and unfortunately you can hear absolutely everything, both from the hallway and from the surrounding rooms. But this can be solved with earplugs

Great location. Breakfast ok. Quite quiet.

Internal facing room, was ok but outward would've been better. Observation. Sheets + towels perfectly clean but sheets could be newer!

We had a very pleasant stay at el Cid. Quiet and cisy with very helpful staff.

The location is excellent, the beds are comfy, the shower was good and the cleaning staff do an excellent job. I would say that it offers value for money for the standard of hotel.

The hotel is in an old Spanish style, which would be a good thing, if it wasn’t tired and jaded. The communal areas in particular are pretty grim, which wouldn’t be a problem if you have fabulous weather and just walk through them to leave. However, in bad weather and we had several days of torrential rain, they would be a pretty depressing place to spend any time.
