the location is amazing! the views arround, good to walk or drive arround, very near to see the birds a puffins watch place. the food is outstanding! Buffet style, the breat is home made. very friendly owner and staff. good wifi.

noisy hallways, bathrooms need renovation. uncomfortable shower curtain. the hallway to the bedroom is used as a furniture storage and late cleaning in the night of the common area is very noisy in the bedrooms on the same house of the reception.

The rooms were very clean and the staff super friendly. The shower was strong and warm and the breakfast was great, many different options and all fresh.

I’m quite tall and the bed sheets were a bit short for me, but the rooms were warm so not a problem at all

Good bed (decent size, firm mattress), good shower

Very noisy (I could hear our neighbors use the toilet and hear them talking), no facilities in the room (no kettle to make a cup of tea), room is not cosy, massive breakfast space (too big for our liking).

The host is very helpful especially when it comes to hikers around the village.

The owner met us with a big smile and the keys as we walked in. Considering it was the weekend of a music festival that took over the whole village, and it was very busy, that was a lovely touch. The hotel is at the end of the village, but the village is so small that everything is walkable. Breakfast was good, too. We would definitely go back.

The rooms were very empty. Ice cold stone Floors. Cold shower. But the breakfast was amazing.

The owners have been extremely patient with us as Covid has made us delay our visit from 2020 to 2021 to 2022. Like all of our contacts in Iceland they have helped us to reschedule and we are expecting that next year we will find all of these facilities to be exceptional.

We have had some difficulties with Booking's system as it has had difficulties recognizing some of our postponements. This is one of them. We have generally been able to get assistance from persons who work at Bookings but it is not always easy to get past the system to speak to a person. So here we are with a request to evaluate a property that we have been unable to visit. We expect that there is nothing to dislike about Álfheimar Hotel.
