LOGIS - Auberge Du Colombier

The hotel has been modernised and decorated, and was a pleasant place to stay. The room and bed were comfortable, and the breakfast served in an adjacent building was self service, and adequate. Next door is an excellent restaurant serving a wide range of well prepared and well presented meals, with staff able to help interpret the french menu! The hotel is part of a large and well run caravan site, but has its own quiet location seperate from the tourist park, in which there is in season a bar and a snack bar serving food cheaper and more "popular" than the restaurant, and a popular swimming pool. The location is well kept, and a good place to wander through the trees and relax after a journey. Guines is a village that is a very convenient stop between Calais and the motorway network.

We did not realise that check-in might be in the adjacent restaurant during its opening hours, but this was no problem.

Kind and helpful staff. Clean room clean bathroom. Beautiful and peaceful place.

Charming hotel in the grounds of an old chateau. The accommodation is standard, but the restaurant, La Ferme Gourmande, is excellent, with a friendly holiday vibe thanks to lots of clients from the nearby camp site. We have made a trip to Guines a second time especially to visit the restaurant.

Easy to park and close to tunnel.
