there was a large cockroach in our room, the kettle was malfunctioning, the bedsheet was torn. the room was quite shabby and not worth the money. the staff were only able to offer apologies but did nothing concrete.

Fantastic location. Nice breakfast. Such potential in this hotel. Too bad sloppy management lets it down.

Initial room was very dirty - cobwebs and black mould. Looked neglected! After some discussion in which I was tried to be persuaded that it was normal and the room was clean we switched to another which was better. But still not the 5* standard of other Kolkata hotels of a similar price. Pool hot tub was cold. Loud western pop everywhere. Dusty corners. Billed as 'hip' but it is a hip-ness of 20 years ago. The pounding nightclub sound reached well into the night and up into the fourth floor. With some attention to maintenance and housekeeping this hotel could be fabulous. Unfortunately until this happens, I'd rather stay elsewhere.

When you have a bad experience.. then all good experiences don't matter..

Bad experience... We have updated staff to mention GST no. on the bill. shared the same on their phone.. but no GST number mentioned. no bill number mentioned.. Also shared with staff keep your hotel prices on food items which is the room... Have seen 10rs nuts for 220rs..

The suite was very cosy and comfortable

Perhaps a breakfast inclusion would have been great
