Golden Bay

The location is perfect. Right by the beach, many restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk, supermarkets within 10-15 minutes walk, 15 minutes drive to Chania, big free parking right next to the hotel. The apartment was great too. The Room has the sea view and good curtains to block the light (not blackout but good enough for a good sleep). Bed is comfortable. The Living room has two couches and the sea view. The Kitchen is small, it doesn’t have a microwave or dishwasher. We only used the fridge. The terrasse was very useful to dry our clothes and enjoy the view. The staff (reception and cleaning ladies) were very friendly and understanding. The restaurant of the hotel was great. The food is very tasty. Be ready to wait a bit for your order. But with such a good view the waiting is very pleasant. The territory of the hotel was beautiful with many flowers and palm trees.

There were tiny ants in our apartment. We are close to the nature and it’s normal that the infects get in, but still it’s unpleasant. For cleanliness I would put 8 out of 10. It’s not perfect but it’s very good. The shower was not very comfortable - we always put water everywhere. But the temperature of water was perfect.

Great location with an excellent restaurant (staff and food superb), very convenient for the beach, bus into Chania (15mins journey), walk into Chania (55 mins) and easy walking distance to all the other restaurants in Kato Daratsos.

Towels need updating, cleaning needs to improve (both our cutlery and crockery was dirty when we arrived!) AC needs servicing/updating and the kitchenette needs a toaster.

Great location, great rooms, helpful staff and a lovely restaurant

We didn't have breakfast there. Location wasn't great! But plenty of cafes & restraunts. The beach wasn't clean so we didn't swim there.
