Killaloe Hotel & Spa

The dining staff was wonderful. Kayla took us under her wing when we arrived earlier than 3 and exhausted from no sleep our first day.

We asked to be allowed to get into a room early but we’re not permitted to do so. But we were welcomed into the dining room and allowed to sit in the lobby until 2:30. We needed a better option.

Breakfast was very good.

If the spa was available.

Location, staff and food were all great. The room was comfortable and warm.

The spa was shut down,but just bad timing

The location of the room was in a lovely quiet space of the hotel, the room was big with an small outdoor porch area to sit also, lovely relaxing area, with full privacy. The staff for the bar and breakfast were very friendly.

The room while having tea and coffee facilities did not have cups or spoons and had to wait an hour for some to be brought to the room. The shower water was not emptying - seemed the plug area was full of hair and dirt, 6pm check in night I informed reception person of same and said that they water nearly overflowed into the bathroom, and asked for it to be checked before the morning so we both could shower. This did not happen and we had to wait an hour in between each shower so my partner could shower - the water overflowed all over the bathroom. I informed the receptionist again and they forgot to mention to the handyman of the issue. The breakfast while was good - we had to get the staff to change the milk in the breakfast area as the milk was gone off and smelled horrendous. My partner received a pint of Guniness and had to return it as it was warm and flat.
