I’ve stayed here many times over the last thirty years or so so I must like it! The brothers who run it are lovely people and it’s always good to have a restaurant on site, classic French food and good wines. The rooms are small and basic with comfortable beds, good bathrooms and spotlessly clean. They are very cheap. Vallon itself is a delightful place, with a fantastic automata museum and electric boats for hire on the historic Canal du Berry.
If you were very large you might find space a bit tight

Parfait pour une étape. Très bon accueil. Chambre confortable (avec clim !). Petit déjeuner correct. Possibilité de dîner sur place au restaurant de l'établissement avec une bonne cuisine.

Le prix
20 cm de chaque côté du lit. Sommier en fer je me suis griffé et cogné plusieurs fois. De vieilles couvertures bleues tachées et une grande serviette de douche blanche les bords étaient déchiquetés. Juste un cintre sur un porte manteau. Je restais une nuit ça allait. Le boîtier de clim ne fonctionnait pas (la pile a changée). Ma chambre se trouvait dans une petite maison un peu plus loin 30m env.
