Edelweiss Corporate Guest House

This place is a true hideaway, tucked away in the hills with a beautiful view. It does not need to brag or try too hard; it stands out in its own quaint and unique way. What I appreciated most was the quiet contrast it offers when you are coming back from the noise of the outside world. Everyone minds their own business, but there is still a sense of community. You are close enough to see and chat with other guests if you actually want to, without ever feeling pressured into conversation. The property and its terms and conditions are direct, clear and professional, which makes it a particularly good option for corporate travellers and anyone coming into the area from out of town. But the real standout for me was Iryna, the manager of the establishment. The level of personality, professionalism and genuine humanity she brings to the property is exceptional. She has clearly ensured that everything runs properly, and her no-nonsense work ethic is something most establishments seem to lack, particularly in front-of-house operations and management. It is refreshing to encounter someone who is both professional and genuinely present in the running of the property, especially compared with some of my previous stays in Pretoria. I also really enjoyed the kitchen and dining setup. Being able to actually see your food being prepared while sitting back, enjoying the sunshine and listening to old-school music created a surprisingly homely atmosphere. At times, I almost forgot I was a guest. The staff may be a small team, but everyone genuinely puts in the work to keep the place running. Even when tiredness is evident, the effort does not go unnoticed. Well done to the entire team, and thank you for making my stay comfortable.

One thing I would have loved to experience during my stay was a continental breakfast option or perhaps a few menu choices. I think that would add another nice touch to the overall experience, especially for guests travelling for business or staying away from home. The pool was absolutely amazing — crystalline and beautifully maintained. I only wished I had enough time to actually get in and enjoy it.
