Residenza Domus Aurea Tropea- Vista Mare

EVERYTHING about our stay there was exceptional. Love the location, quiet and relaxing mornings and nights. It’s a family owned business. The nonna bakes everything for the morning breakfast, the eggs and meats are home made from a farm they own, delicious. ALL the staff is phenomenal starting from Gianni (the owner) keeping track and always making sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay, accommodating us ALL the time from suggesting us places to go, things to do, calling a cab for us when we had to check out at 3h30am, sending his brother Nazo or his son Alessandro when we needed a ride. He even followed up with us the day after we left with a heartfelt message to thank us for our stay. Maria, another staff that has been working for them since the beginning is the sweetest, always smiling and available for us. Let’s not forget about the Nonna. I made myself a grandmother in Calabria. She is the cutest and sweetest woman. It was VERY hard for us to go back home. They have a beautiful family. Rooms are cleaned and we had new sheets and towels everyday. I can go on and on. All that to say, I HIGHLY highly recommend and will definitely HAVE to come back! I am so grateful to have found this home! Thank you Gianni to you and to your family for having us and for taking care of us as if we were part of your family!

There’s honestly nothing negative I can say about our stay there.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful; they have definitely raised the standard of this accommodation. They told us that if we needed anything, we just had to ask. Breakfast was adequate, featuring homemade salami and various cheeses, as well as several types of pastries baked on-site, which were constantly replenished as they ran out. Omelets or scrambled eggs with bacon were prepared upon request. There was a generous selection of fruit, fruit juices, and, upon request, tea, coffee, and cappuccino.

What was completely missing, however, were tomatoes, bell peppers, and cucumbers. The lodging is located between two parallel, busy roads that are relatively close to each other. As a result, the noise from passing cars, with the windows open, slightly marred the exceptional view of the sunset as it sank below the Aeolian Islands in the Mediterranean Sea. The breakfast selection could be expanded to include some fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers.

Unica pecca (di cui non ha alcuna colpa la proprietà) è il fatto che serve necessariamente l'auto per spostarsi, sia per andare al mare sia per andare a mangiare, in quanto nei dintorni non c'è nulla.

La struttura è davvero molto bella, dal vivo rende molto di più che nelle foto... personale gentile e pronto ad accogliere ogni richiesta... stanza davvero pulita con vista mozzafiato... Il proprietario (il signor Giovanni) persona davvero squisita e disponibilissima; tiene davvero tanto agli ospiti del suo hotel, consiglia le varie attrazioni da visitare del luogo, si è offerto persino di prestarci attrezzature in caso non le avessimo; inoltre il secondo giorno si è scaricata la batteria della mia macchina, e in poche ore ha provveduto lui stesso ad andarmene a comprare un'altra e a montarla lui stesso. Struttura super consigliata.
