Peaceful spacious accommodation with amazing views at a good price.

The positives are so overwhelmingly good that it’s not appropriate to mention any shortcomings. Suffice to say it’s really really great but not perfect, hence 8/10

Accommodation was clean, neat and beautiful views. Beds were comfortable and overall accommodation was stunning. Very friendly and beautiful friendly dogs met us on arrival.

While we realize it is self catering, it would have been nice to have instant coffee and some milk :-) Maybe just a sign at the main road showing Domaine Coutelier with an arrow? We arrived at night so it was a little hard to find.

Einstein and Maddie. They were great company and looked forward to greeting me whenever they got a chance.

It was difficult to book Ubers in the area, but that’s an external issue. I was booked to DJ at Landtscap Venue which is 1km away. A vehicle that I could hire on the premises would have been ideal.

There were a lot of things I could overlook with this property, the difficulty in finding it with vague info, unclear check in instructions and just hoping I find the right room as there's no signs indicating which room is yours, (I helped two other guests locate their room as well) the messiness of the property (a lot of rubble and dead vineyards) the dogs constantly pushing their way into the room each time I opened the door and not leaving easily, even the dusty floors and old crusty carpets were fine as it's a farm afterall and a microwave that didn't work, but I drew the line at being without water for 3 hours. The owner (Quint) seemed quite uninterested in sorting the problem out only saying he'd take a look "later, in a couple of hours." I pointed out that we had no drinking water as none was even provided at all, but still no solution was offered such as bringing a couple bottles of drinking water, and when I requested a refund he merely stated that he would only refund me if I left the property. As female travellers in a country that one of the highest rates of r*pe in the world, on a farm quite some distance from town and the owner telling you to leave at 8pm at night and find alternative accomodation. Astounding! He eventually told me to contact my booking agency if I want a refund, which I did and they reported back to me that after numerous phone calls to him, he wasn't answering their calls either. I eventually located a bucket on the property and managed to find some water coming from a tap next to the garage, and I was also prepared to take water out of the swimming pool for the purposes of flushing the toilet at least. But a hot shower on a cold winter's night would have been appreciated as it's what I paid for afterall, isn't it??
