The staff was what made the property so special. They truly had a gift for interacting with pilgrims.

This property is 7 kms away from San Juan de Ortega and no transportation is available. The only choice is to call a taxi from Burgos to pick you up at a cost of 60€

The town has only one bar which was closed. No stores to purchase anything, so be prepared with some food

Noise insulation between rooms not very good and if you get noisy children as neighbor, you just don’t get asleep

Oh, the creaking doors and thin walls kept us awake half the night - but the main problem was breakfast - our breakfast was included in the price of a room for 3 people. The owner sent a message that a separate breakfast would be served for each room and it was signed for which room. Imagine our surprise when in the morning we didn't find anything resembling breakfast. In the refrigerator there was only an open juice in a liter package that had been there since yesterday and only a basket with small muffins for all room 😡 also since yesterday. No cold cuts, eggs, not even bread and a kettle so that we could cook something of our own. We were very disappointed since we had chosen a hotel where breakfast was included on principle - so as not to waste time in the morning. In general - the price for this room is very high - deception with breakfast, because of which we had to go back to the city and waste time to buy food. Also, this hotel is not even in the city, there were other options in the city at a cheaper price I wrote to the owner about this situation - but I still wait answer 😂 about 10’days … 100% not recommended for rent !
