The location, the internal design, lots of facilities.
The included breakfast takes place in near local restaurants with little or no savory products, mostly sweet.

The view from the room was incredible right at the top of town. It’s beautifully renovated and Francesca was so so incredibly helpful

Fantastic location, stylish high spec interior, amazing views all round. The room is a bit like being in a filmset with beautiful vaulted stone ceiling. Comfortable big bed. Well equipped kitchen with fridge and cooking facilities.
Breakfast was at a local cafe. It was basic, but fine if you are happy with a croissant, a cake and a coffee. Fresh orange juice is also available.

INCREDIBLY beautiful home. Romantic and luxurious. Incredible views from the bedroom and bathroom. The terrace is remarkable. Some of the best views on Matera as you’re above the entire city. Nice to have the sunset and sunrise to yourself and away from the crowds. Location is excellent and easy to get anywhere. Best place for a 3 day stay in Matera. 1 to explore the city. 1 to explore and hike the cliffs/caves and one to relax in this incredible home :)

The most amazing place to stay. Exceeded my expectations! It was located in the most beautiful street right in the center of Sassi di Matera. From every window there was a view that you can not stop looking out of and with a huge balcony with views to all sassi di Matera. The room is very beautiful and big!Great value for money!

Location was ideal for getting around and exploring the Sassi. Also enjoyed the experience of feeling like you were staying in one of the old cave dwellings (albeit a modern version).
Antica Civita claims to be a luxury B&B. However, this is the only luxury accommodation that we have ever stayed in that never changed the towels or made up the rooms during our stay. We have stayed in far more 'basic' accommodations that provided much more service.
Room was great in that it was 3 floors (bedroom, middle floor with lounge/bath and rooftop deck). However, air conditioning only reached the first floor. Bathroom lacked privacy when staying with more than 2 people and inside temperature was almost as hot as outside (28+ degrees C). So you needed a shower/bath after just taking one in order to cool off and stop sweating while you were trying to get dressed to go out. Only we never received clean towels to be able to do that. The handles were falling off the water and shower spouts and one landed on my son's foot. Luckily, it missed his head!
Location is good for visiting the Sassi, once you trek there with your luggage. But is was not at all convenient that there was no opportunity provided to drop off luggage and you had to pay a fortune (more than in downtown Milan, Rome, etc.) for parking.
Breakfast provided was the bare minimum (brioche + coffee) given COVID and people at the bar where you had to collect it were rude. Given so few rooms in the B&B, much more could have been done to bring breakfast to the guests so they could enjoy it in their rooms, or guests could easily have taken turns using the kitchenette that was there to have breakfast. Although the coffee maker in kitchenette did not work. Tried to make a caffe lungo and had to run it 5 times to even get half a cup of coffee.
