Fantastic hotel. Beautiful timber throughout, a French-Lao Colonial style building across the street from the Mekong river. The staff are amazing, the rooms are spotless and roomy, great showers and magnificent views over the Mekong river from the balcony. Eating the tasty breakfast on the terrace looking out over the river was a great way to start the day! My favorite hotel during my travels through South East Asia.

The manager/owner was friendly and the place looked nice.

She said the river view room i booked 3 months before was not available, only a room without a view but she could arrange for me to stay at another hotel 1 minute away with a river view room. She showed me photos and the new room looked nice and I agreed. I was taken by moped (not something I would usually do) taking 5mins to the new place. The new room was ok but on a busy road, and the breakfast was basic. I had just arrived from the UK, was bone tired and jet lagged. I just want to warn others to stand their ground and not be a fool like me. I lost my avios points, because my original booking was cancelled and the next booking was done direct. I did go back and tell the manager this and she paid for my taxi to the airport but it didn't compensate me for the inferior room or lost points.
