Magic bracelet that opens doors, safe box; pays for drinks or whatever else in the hotel. VERY practical. GREAT food at buffet and the servers were absolute top notch. The hotel offers the choice between all inclusive (for serious drinkers) and half-board (for people like us) Modern bathroom with bidet Air conditioner super silent maintaining a nice temperature. Three great pools- for each taste: one for those who like to drink in the pool, one for those who like to swim or enjoy the pool, one for those who wish to swim lengths. Easy access to the beach Receptionists and staff in rooms ( Ana Maria) very professional and helpful. The lady from the towel office ( Laura) not only fluent in at least 3 languages but one can have an intellectual conversation with her ( e.g. Italian poetry ) We were not bothered by smokers - who had their designated areas. Comfortable beds. Gorgeous view from balcony.

Some evenings super loud entertainment at hotel and neighbouring bars till late at night ( at hotel stops around 11, neighbouring bars have a mind of their own ) One cannot read a book or sleep before 11 pm or even later. Soundproof windows should be a MUST. The door to the balcony opens and closes with GREAT difficulty from inside. From outside, it CANNOT be opened !!!( if you are on the balcony and the door closes you are in BIG trouble. ) Entertainment was modest (one exception: a couple of amazing acrobats.) We found the MC/head of entertainment on the obnoxious side - but, hey, this is a matter of taste (other people liked him). We stayed out of his way and we were fine.

The breakfast was very nice and there was a lot of different food to choose from but lunch was a different matter. I liked the room, located on the 5th floor with an ocean view, like we ordered. The air conditioning was superb!

The bed was quite hard, could have had an over mattress to soften the support a bit and one side of the bed was a bit squish. Like I said before, the lunch buffet was a disappointing. And there was not enough sun beds around the pool area for everyone. You have to go out really early to secure sun beds and stay on the bed, otherwise your towels will be taken off.

The location is perfect; the breakfast is varied, though bubbly isn't served daily as it should be.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the bathroom was not satisfactory, and there were cockroaches coming out at night. Thanks to Hugo, who did his best to compensate us for the inconveniences, the experience wasn't as bad as it could have been. He even offered us a premium restaurant experience on the house, which we really appreciated. Most of the restaurant staff were brilliant. The manager of the so-called Prestige-only restaurant, however, was quite rude. He spoke down to us and assumed we didn't have a table booked because we weren't wearing the "right" colour bracelets, which apparently didn't make us VIP enough for him. His exact words were, "You are not Prestige customers" without hearing a word of what I was saying. It came across as condescending and unnecessary.
