Villa Gertrud - Bed & Breakfast

The Bed & Breakfast is located quite centrally, a bit east of the town's center. It sits at a larger road with heavy traffic during the day, but the traffic dies down during the night. They do provide earplugs for free, however, we did not need them and could sleep well (in a rather small bed in a rather small room which is not very soundproof). There is a free parking garage close by, which is great as the two or three spots on the property are quickly taken by other guests and the parking lot is very narrow. At the property there is a well-equipped kitchen and a small balcony towards the back (adjacent to the kitchen). The highlight of our stay for sure was the breakfast. Everything is very fresh and the offer is plenty. While the breakfast room in the basement is rather small, it facilitates conversation with other guests (if that is something you enjoy). The whole place is not wheelchair-accessible. The host is really friendly and helpful.

Like I said before, the place is not really soundproof, so depending on which room you get, you will hear all the people pass by in the hallway and you also hear the traffic from outside a bit.

Villa Gertrud is located very close to the railway station. It is easy to find it. Our room was big enough with all everything you need. The kitchen is good with all facilities. The breakfast was very nice and tasty and served with love. I can recommend this place to tourists without any doubt. With best wishes, Elena S.

There are small things I was talking about with the owner og the place. The beds are good but one of the pillows should be changed. A good idea to set up extra number of hooks on the wall.

Easy check-in, central location, nice shared kitchen facilities, and a tasty breakfast! I really enjoyed that there was local honey for sale in the kitchen too.

The history of the building was interesting, the host was gracious and we were allowed to check in early. All in all a positive experience.

There was mold in a forgotten coffee filter in the communal kitchen. Our little hot plate in our room was less than clean. We were expected to put the duvet into its cover ourselves. Our private bathroom smelled of slightly of mold
