Amazing, authentic guesthouse. We had a wonderful time. Accommodations, hospitality and food were all amazing. Great location for the Theth to Valbone hike. Highly recommend!
Our only issue was that booking.com said my card would be charged prior to our stay, so we didn’t have enough local currency on hand to cover our stay and dinner. Thankfully our host allowed us to pay in US$ so it all worked out.

Location was spectacular. We drove from Tirana and were able to comfortably reach and park. The host Rafael was the extremely kind and generous. The food was super tasty considering we were vegetarians, didn’t think we would get any nice food. We wanted to do the Valbona Peak hike and this was the perfect starting point.

A comida. A sopa de feijão 😁. A vista espetacular e o staff super atencioso e prestável.

Man muss fragen.

So peaceful and food was amazing! Staff was very friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend.
The trail through the woods was a bit slippery after a rain shower

Fantastic location. Great food. Friendly staff
No air-conditioning in the rooms on top floor makes it pretty warm even at night.

A magical location in the middle of the mountains with the best view possible of the entire area.
Incredible hospitality by a wonderful family, with excellent food and very warm and sincere care from the family (especially the two brothers that run things).
Rooms are very modern and comfortable, with great facilities and views.

By far the best place to stay in Theth. The owners are so welcoming and helpful. Providing the best walking tracks in the area & an easy way to start the Theth to Valbone hike from their property! The home made food is delicious and so well done. The rooms are well sized, clean and well appointed. We wouldn’t recommend anywhere else to stay.

So friendly people and delicious homemade food! Also for dinner. Nice location, though it was a bit outside of the village theth.
Also very cheap still, and they helped make a vegetarian dinner for us even though it was not on the menu.
No AC and very hot in the summer.

It’s strikingly beautiful. The staff is so great and the breakfast, too!
Not really a disapproval, just a suggestion for future travellers who’d be arriving there from the Valbonë path: ask the host beforehand how to reach the guesthouse without arriving to Theth, otherwise you’ll add a way up to the hill to an already quite exhausting day (especially during the summer).

Beautiful location. Great breakfast. Nice staff. A very relaxing experience.
There was no blinds or curtains on the window right over bed where the sun hit you very early in the morning. The shower drain was clogged which led to the flooding of the bathroom when showering.

The dinner at the terrace is such an amazing experience. The hospitality of the guys and the sights of the house are excellent

Probably the best place to stay in Theth! Away from the hustle and traffic of Theth, this cozy old house has everything for an authentic experience. The kindest family runs this place while also tending to their chickens, cow and providing you with the freshest home made food. The portions are huge suited for very hungry hikers. The three-course dinner menu is 20 euros per person. The stonehouse stays cool in the summer, which is a big plus. The chairs and table on the private patio are a great place to relax. The bus from Shkodër can drop you off just above the guest house from where access is very easy. The trailhead to Valbonë is closeby (20 minutes) and Theth center and Minimarket are 40 minutes by foot.
The rooms have been partially updated recently but some things weren't working well. The shower was leaky, the beds squeaky and there was nowhere to unpack our backpacks. The room was also quite humid. The food was way too much, leaving us a bit guilty if we couldn't finish it.

The entire family operating the business were all incredibly nice, thoughtful, and helpful. The food was traditional, delicious, and all natural.
9.0
The food, the cleanliness and the service.
The views and the surroundings.
A little bit far from the center and access to whom makes the valbona pass hike is difficult and hard to find. The food is very good but a little bit overpriced comparing the prices in other properties.

Beatiful setting with lovely, welcoming hosts. Food was delicious and plentiful. At the bottom of the garden is a path that leads you to the start of the valbone trail and to theth supermarket and the blue eye route. They also arranged for our bus to return to theth for us.
The room became quite hot during the day and night as no fan or AC. A lot of the food is centred on cheese - if you don't like strong cheese it's worth asking what your options are.

We stayed at Molla Guest House for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! The family who runs it is so kind and helpful, and the food is amazing! Some of the best we've had in Albania. The views were stunning and overall it was one of our favorite stays in Albania. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property, friendly staff, great dinners
We booked a driver through the property to get back to Shkoder and the driver was extremely unsafe going through windy mountain pass. not exactly Mollas fault but it is something to be aware of if you ask them to help find a car

Rafael and family were wonderful hosts. I would very much recommend having your evening meal at the Molla Guesthouse; delicious, traditional and excellent value.

The scenery was outstandingly beautiful. I liked that this property wasn’t in “town” on the valley floor. I didn’t understand what town would be like and at first I was surprised to be what seems to be far away, but that’s actually a good thing. The walk to start the church/waterfalls/Blue Eye hike is in town but it only takes 25 minutes down the paved road to get to town. or there’s a back way, which is how we started our hike to Valbonë, but it’s very muddy and best to do when you leave, not when you arrive. The food was delicious and lovingly made by grandma. The generosity of Rafael and his family is amazing and you want to show gratitude by eating it all, but the portions are so big :)/
The room is very nice, warm, comfortable, with a great shower.
I wish we had stayed here two days. there is a lot to explore in the valley that we didn’t know about. stay longer!
This was my most expensive stay in the Balkans, but it’s still relatively cheap to anything back home. You know there’s a lot of work that goes into building and creating such a beautiful place so you don’t really mind. So stay here anyway :)

The guest house is owned and operated by Stefan and his family. He greeted us when we first arrived and him and his family were extremely hospitable making sure we had everything we needed as well as giving us directions and recommendations of what we should do while there. We also had a lot of fun with their dog Didi, Drogo the cat, and Vilma the kitten kept us well entertained with her shenanigans. Highly recommend trying their home made plum Raki. Being a bit away from the town centre, you’re surrounded by breathtaking views and the sound of a river which elevated the experience even further! The shower after our hikes was piping hot and very relaxing, especially with dinner by the fireplace! The food was all home made and tasted great, but there’s no menu and the only choice you can pick from is what the main protein will be with your lunch or dinner (fish, pork, veal, or lamb); you can however ask for a vegetarian option.
Getting to the guest house was a bit of a maze at first as you can only get to it through an off-road path, and you’d then need to go through a metallic gate (closed but unlocked), and walk further down to get to the actual guest house. Location wise, the guest house isn’t as central as the others and it took us 30-40 minutes on foot to get to the town centre, but this wasn’t a big issue as we were there for hiking. The only watch out is the way back as it’s an up-hill walk and can be a bit of a pain after dark seeing there are no cars or taxis readily available during those hours. If you do find a car however, they will gouge you on the price as a tourist charging around 2000-3000 Lek for the short trip (depending on whether you’re taking it from the town centre or from the blue eye). There’s also only one small mini market in the town centre and they’re not open all the time so I’d recommend bringing essentials with you.

The family running this place is very helpful. They're always there to help and provide information about anything in Theth.
The room was spacious and comfy, and the dining room was cozy and nice to sit in. Dinner was excellent with lots of variety.
The view from the room and the garden was breathtaking.
Overall it was a pleasant stay.
The breakfast is too basic. Some eggs and vegetables would have been a great addition.
The dinner, although tasty with lots of variety is a bit pricey.
And overall the place is pricier then other equivalents in Theth.
If you're without a car then the location is not good since you'll have to walk a few kilometers to the village just to start the hikes in the area.

1. The view is breathtaking and you feel good with the mountain village life. I compared it with other properties in Theth and I can say this one’s surroundings are the best. Look no further seriously. I spent 3 hours just taking photos and videos. I should have stayed for 2 nights. Make sure you ask about how to go to the river and cross it to the other side via a trail from the yard. It’s shorter and so beautiful compared with the road to the village. The distance isn’t that bad if you don’t have mobility issue and you can hitch hike.
2. The young guy provided good info about what to do and prepared packed lunch for free.
3. I got into my room early at 11am.
1. Food must improve. For 17 euros, it’s a shame that the grilled veal was burnt! And the drink was purely water. There’s no eggs or ham/sausage at breakfast. Just bread and milk.
2. Kinda expensive for the region even if it has a great view.
