The tree in front of the balcony is a bit too high for when you sit on the balcony to watch the oceans. Recommend to have it trimmed at the top

This is a beautiful apartment in a very well-maintained complex, with stunning views right across Walker Bay that was full of whales when we stayed in early October. We had whales waiting for us only 50 m offshore when we arrived. A great area of rock pools in front of the complex would provide plenty of interest for kids. The apartment is relatively easy to find and very secure (though the surrounding area is less so). It is conveniently located next to Hermanus New Harbour, useful if you are doing a very early morning whale-watching tour. It sports all mod cons (including a BBQ/braai).

We only stayed a couple of nights, so it was a bit inconvenient to have to go to the town to buy cleaning stuff and toilet roll that were not even remotely fully used and were left behind, so it was a bit of a waste. Perhaps items like washing detergent, toilet roll, etc. left by previous guests could be kept for newly-arriving guests. Although the apartment complex itself is very secure, the surrounding area is not and some guests might find it intimidating.
