Booked a nice two-level apartment in Tarifa a month before the trip. The day before check-in, we were forced to check in online, submit all our documents, and were told that it is not possible to check in on the spot. Ok, done. Although we see this for the first time, everyone always registers on the spot. A few hours before check-in, we were told that we could not check-in to the booked apartment because the couch was wet. They offered us another option, emphasized that the new apartment is more expensive, but they will not take any more money from us. We agreed, because we were already in place and could not find a new apartment. Check-in was as late as 5 p.m., it's very late, it's the first time I've seen them make us wait for 3 hours. As it turned out, it was just a scam. Because the apartment they offered us was 30 euros cheaper. When we announced this to the landlords, they told us that this apartment (one-room apartment) costs 50-60% more than the two-level one that we are ordering, and this is a discount only today and certainly not for us, and no one returned the 30 euro difference to us. This is very unpleasant. Lies were felt at every step.

quirky apartment right in centre of old town 2-5 mins from port, bars, shops, restaurants.

no parking and the area was a nightmare to park anywhere

great location, central to Tarifa town centre and local bars and restaurants. parking was close by at the port car park too so not to far to carry luggage. easy check in and check out and the host was more than helpful before and during my stay.

The flat is really humid and needs a renovation

Attractive quirky apartment in the heart of Tarifa, just around the corner from the ferry terminal.

This was the coolest apartment I've stayed in during any trip. It was comfortable, the shower was great, the balcony looked amazing (I just wish we could have enjoyed it - it was raining and windy the whole time we were there), and I love that the bed was up in a loft overlooking the rest of the apartment.

It was a little sketchy to get down the ladder if you have to pee in the middle of the night - someone may easily fall from the loft if they're not careful

Everything. Great location. Roof terrace at the end of the day with great views. Lovely x
