Absolutely incredible building, beautifully and tastefully preserved. Stunning. The staff were exceptionally attentive and professional. We were the only guests for our two-night stay, which can be a difficult balance for a small property — but they got it absolutely right! attentive without ever being overbearing. The food and cocktails were every bit as good as we would expect from a top-tier five-star hotel, and we were hugely impressed by the quality of the entire setup. Our suite had the most amazing walk-in bath — we definitely need one at home. ☝🏻 The pool and surrounding gardens were beautiful and the perfect place to spend a few lazy hours escaping the Yucatecan heat. A huge thank you to both the front- and back-of-house teams for such an incredible stay. We cannot wait to come back.

Our only real criticism was the check-out experience. The young lady handling our departure was, unfortunately, rather poor — noticeably less polished than every other member of the team we encountered. It left a slightly sour note at the end of what had otherwise been an exceptional stay. A little additional training would certainly help bring the experience up to the standard the rest of the hotel delivers so beautifully.

Nothing

There are no other options nearby, so they charge a lot because you don’t have a choice. They lure you into staying in a very isolated location that is expensive to reach, which means you can only eat there. The food is terrible and expensive. They don’t provide complimentary drinking water, which is a first for me at a hotel this secluded, and they charge a high price for it. The buildings, pool and garden looks larger in the photos. There is really no area to walk around, and the road is right next to the property, so there is constant noise from traffic.
