Great location and safari style glamping. Staff are very friendly.

It is very expensive for what it is. You pretty much have to eat all meals there which are an added cost plus 28% service and vat. They sit guest far apart which I thought made it a bit impersonal.

AC in the tent. Hot water for shower. Comfortable bed. Delicious food. Attentive staff. The Safari with Raj was incredible!

The safari was great as we were lucky enough to see elephants, a bear, a leopard, water buffalo etc with a really informative and fun guide (Malmi). The tent suite was great for four adults (mum, dad and two young adult kids).

The communication leading up to the stay. The information regarding payment is not clear on Booking.com; the only T's & C's info relates to the cancellation policy, not the payment policy. I expected to pay on arrival but Leopard Trails Whatsapp'ed me two weeks beforehand demanding payment in full or the booking would be cancelled.

The camp itself was phenomenal. The tents were incredible - this is glamping at its very best! The food was sublime - best food I’ve ever had at a hotel. The waiting staff were very attentive.

The all day Safari was not at all enjoyable - in fact it was completely boring and tedious. It was eleven hours of driving on dirt roads - hardly without a break - and no animals to be seen (except the odd bird) for the first ten and a half hours. One of the least enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had - and we have travelled extensively. The advice from the guide to do a full day safari and stay in the camp rather than two half days was not good. There are very few visable animals in the park and during the hours of 10-3pm, any animals are under the forest canopy. this meant we literally drove around seeing nothing at all for hours on end. The guide was OK - very knowledgeable about animals and provided functional updates - but no energy and not what I would have expected for the level of quality of Leopard Trails. Very disappointing given the exceptionally high standard of the camp - I would warn people to have low expectations of any animal sightings on the Safari (we saw more animals driving to Wilpattu than in the national park).
