It has a very nice outdoor onsen. Pretty and private.

Easy self check-in, with one small indoor onsen and one larger outdoor onsen. When someone is using one, you simply change the sign and lock the door, so you can enjoy it privately.
If you’re shy or not comfortable with public onsens, this is a great place to stay and experience one.
The location is also great, close to the lake and surrounded by some nice, fancy restaurants.
Since the house is traditional and hasn’t been recently renovated, the tatami was a bit old, and we even encountered a tiny live cockroach during our stay. Also, the shower at the outdoor onsen wasn’t getting warm.
The location was also a little difficult to find, as the building’s facade was not visible from the street.

The best thing is the private onsen bath space, just go for it for that only. Room is small and adjacent to each other with not much noise proof. Location is close to Yufuin prime spots.

The shared kitchen and living room was very clean and welcoming. The staff/owner was very kind and helpful, too. The main highlight was the beautiful private outdoor onsen. We really liked having an outdoor bath for personal use. There are some cool things to see near the location.
The location was a bit hard to find. It's kind of hidden down a side road, and it was tough to find a road our car could fit down. The rooms are minimalist for the price: basic futons, small TV, air conditioning that doesn't work, very thin walls, etc.

"The location was great! It was right next to the Miffy Bakery and the Snoopy Cafe so I was very satisfied. The house itself was very cute and comfortable. I loved the onsen and wished I had spent more..."
