Our medieval country House is named HOUSE ON THE ROCK because was built on a part of Casentino's mountain. Historic documents describe it at a Camaldolese Monastry in the XI A.C.. Many architectural features and details prove this origin. It was only natural to turn Monasterial hospitality into a warm Villa. Casa sulla Roccia is a warm and cozy home where you can find comfort and relax, along the famous VIA ROMEA (the old main road linking Rome with Florence and north Italy).
With a complete restoration done to return that original charm and beauty of the region to the HOUSE ON THE ROCK, you can experience in a conforting atmosphere.the historical beaty and feeling of medieval age.
For people with cooking passion it's possible a great pizza in the firewood oven.

We often helped our guest to organize fine wine tasting tour in the most beautiful Winery of the area. In fact we have our own completely indipendent apartment from guest area and spend time there while the guest are doing their holidays. This is very appreciated as people wrote in the reviews. We take care of the pool, of the garden trees and flowers, of botanic garden offering guest tomatoes and zucchini produce there. Real km0 products.
We manage more than 35000 squadre metersi of olive plants and are specialized in oil tasting with local products. our area is vocated also for tipycal Chianti Aretino grapes and wine and we let to our host the pleasure of doing unforgettable sensorial experience .
For youngs we offer a pitch for playing soccer in completely indipendence in the hearth of our hills.There is also a beautiful riding horses for kids walking distance from the Villa.

La camera Cipresso (6 pax) su due piani dispone di sala con cucina attrezzata divano letto doppio e zona notte con 2 letti singoli e letto matrimoniale soppalcato.
Le camere Ginestra/Ginepro (7pax) e Acero/Sambuco (5 pax) sono composte ciascuna da 2 camere matrimoniali (di cui 1 con possibile letto singolo)con ingresso indipendente e ampio bagno comunicante al centro.Nelle Ginepro Ginestra c'è anche una comoda camera con 3 letti singoli.
La camera Ciliegio con ingresso indipendente e terrazzino riservato. E’ composto da una camera matrimoniale e letto singolo. Sopra Ciliegio la camera Castagno gode di una stupenda vista sulle colline circostanti ed è composta da una grande camera matrimoniale con 2 letti e comodo bagno. Particolare l'antico soffitto a capanna.
Oltre alle zone notte un ampio salone da pranzo con archi originali, camino funzionante, bagno di servizio ed adiacente una cucina professionale attrezzata. Il salone arredato con antichi tavoli in legno e ferro battuto.. Può ospitare comodamente fino a 27 persone. Comunicante un grande terrazzo con gazebo, un altro terrazzo con mandorli ed un terzo terrazzo con splendido prato. Completa la struttura del Borgo un'antico Oratorio.
