Quiet, isolated oasis on 300 feet of Lake Superior beach and 10 wooded acres.
Il "Ray's Random Point" è un'oasi tranquilla e isolata su 300 piedi di spiaggia del Lago Superiore, stagno di trote e 10 acri di bosco. Questa posizione incantata si trova a soli 5 km dal centro di Marquette, con facile accesso alla Northern Michigan University, numerosi ristoranti, negozi, sentieri per escursioni a piedi e in bicicletta ed eventi regionali.
Questo è l'U.P al suo meglio. Dopo aver spento la strada principale, si snoderà per mezzo miglio lungo un vialetto lastricato e ghiaioso attraverso i boschi e verso il maestoso Lago Superiore. All'arrivo sentirai gli uccelli, il vento attraverso gli alberi e l'acqua che lambisce (o si schianta!). Adoriamo questo posto per la tranquillità e l'isolamento, ma per la comodità della città.
Il tuo appartamento si trova sopra un garage indipendente, quindi tieni presente che dovrai navigare su scale aperte.
* Avrai una cucina completamente attrezzata per preparare tutti i tuoi pasti. Completamente fornito significa pentole, padelle, elettrodomestici, olio, spezie, caffè e tè.
* Installazione per dormire: la camera da letto n. 1 ha un letto king-size. La camera da letto n. 2 ha due letti singoli. Il soggiorno ha un divano futon che può essere utilizzato come letto. E c'è un soppalco con un materasso doppio aggiuntivo.
* Tutte le lenzuola sono in cotone al 100%. E ci sono molti comodi cuscini.
* Soffitto alto e molte finestre.
* Acqua: l'acqua del rubinetto è forse la migliore acqua che tu abbia mai assaggiato. Viene fresco da un pozzo e balza sulla proprietà. (testato regolarmente)
* Ponte avvolgente con posti a sedere all'aperto e grill.
* Accesso Wi-Fi. Il sistema è stato recentemente aggiornato in modo da avere un ottimo accesso a Internet. La ricezione cellulare è imprevedibile. Gli sms funzionano bene, ma le telefonate possono essere impegnative.
* C'è una TV con un lettore DVD, ma nessuna connessione via cavo.
* Breve sentiero sabbioso fino alla spiaggia. Ottima spiaggia per giocare e nuotare. Sabbioso e poco profondo. Tuttavia! So che il Lago Superiore è imprevedibile. Una grande tempesta può portare via la sabbia durante la notte, lasciando una spiaggia di scogli. E poi un'altra tempesta riporta la sabbia.

* Probabilmente sarai sopraffatto dal Lago Superiore che si espande di fronte al tuo appartamento. Tuttavia, potresti anche essere incantato da uno stagno alimentato a molla che riposa lungo il vialetto con Blue Heron, Mallard Ducks, Kingfisher e Bull Frogs. Eppure di maggiore interesse per alcuni sono le trote Brook e Rainbow nascoste nello stagno. Abbiamo fornito pellet di mangime per pesci e dar loro da mangiare è una delizia.

We LOVED our stay! The space was beautiful and comfortable, and the amenities—especially the sauna, fire pit, and most importantly, the beach—were amazing. Lizzy and Jen were amazing hosts, super accommodating, communicative and helpful. You cannot beat this stay in Marquette; we hope to come back in the future!

The hosts have really put in an effort to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. The beach is magical and a perfect place to watch the sun go down and build a campfire. The beds were cozy and the kitchen amenities were great to cook any meal you could imagine. Even during the short rain we were able to enjoy the lake views from the living space. The kids spent some time feeding the trout and playing the card/board games that were available. It's true, the tap water is amazing. We refilled our water bottles and a juice container to take some with us to our next stop.

Beautiful spot on lake superior. Close to trails, Marquette and Big Bay. Had everything we needed.

This is an amazing property but seems like maybe it's been a bit neglected. We stayed for three nights and loved the layout, character, and location. As an FYI, there is no "beach" and the rocks at the waterfront are very difficult to navigate and set chairs on. The beach picture in the listing is not accurate/updated from mother nature's latest shenanigans. The super slippery mossy rocks in the water make it difficult to get in the water without falling. However, if you can get past the rocks, it's wonderfully sandy and shallow a ways out. When we booked the property, the manager said she didn't know if there would be beach b/c of the snow! We were able to use our SUP's and enjoyed checking out the area from the water. The path down to the waterfront needs to be cleaned up - trim the plants and perhaps put in some more steps. The rope handrail is helpful but minimal. Originally my mother-in-law was going to join us. I don't think she would have been able to get down there easily and would have had a tough time walking on the unstable waterfront rocks. The view from the main room is limited, b/c the trees have grown and filled in! The picture on the listing must be a few years old. The sliding screen door had so many holes, the mosquitoes were in heaven having full access to us. Unfortunately, the air conditioner did not work, when we finally succumbed to using it our last night. I also agree with a previous review, it would be nice to have some comfortable chairs to sit on in the main living room. A hard futon that faces the side wall, was not great for more than 2 people and doesn't take advantage of the potential views. Having at least 4, if not more places to comfortably sit facing each other and/or the big windows, would be nice. Also, as a side note, the well broke (understandably these things happen) on the last day and night so we were without water, toilet, shower for our last afternoon, night, and morning - which was not so fun. It was like really expensive camping! ;-)The owner was very apologetic, brought us plenty of drinking water and buckets of water to "flush" the toilets with. They also bought us dinner at their restaurant. We had a nice stay at this property, just had higher hopes for the price we paid.
