Celtic Royal Hotel & Spa

Location very near to tourists spots and customer service

Beds not comfortable and too hot

Expectational stay! Lovely staff great location! Clean and great oool and spa facilities

Have stayed here before and again another good stay. Breakfast excellent. All parts of the hotel very clean and tidy.

All good.

Clean hotel. Reception, Bar manager and breakfast staff friendly. Decent pool/spa though chlorine either too high or too low and therefore giving off chloramine. (I build pools for a living - something was definitely off..) Room nicely cleaned by cleaners. Good hot water.

Very disappointing to learn we had to pay for parking when we arrived. Literally never had to do this at a hotel before. Felt sorry for your receptionist who was clearly tired of having to upset people with the news as soon as they walked in.. Bar meal: Staff behind bar unfriendly. No, "how are you doing, nice day?" etc. Barely a smile. Didn't check food was ok once served. Crucially, no reminder that after 9 there would be no pudding available! (We hadn't noticed this wherever we were supposed to have read it.) Luckily your very nice Bar manager saved the day by producing some ice cream for the children which was much appreciated. Tables with finished meals left uncleared. Food ok but I'd reduce portions and increase the quality. Poor soundproofing in room meant a broken night sleep. Though understand it's an old place so probably quite a job to upgrade..
