We had a fabulous time. Unbelievable spot no neighbors on one side and nobody in the house next-door. So peaceful, constant breeze perfect weather giant house great pool violet and Jorge were great. Answered my questions right away,although I had only a couple. Highly recommend.

It was beautiful

We enjoyed our time at the house. It was comfortable and just steps from the beach. The porch facing the beach is covered and really big. It catches the breeze most of the day. It is a wonderful place to eat breakfast. The bedrooms are large and the beds were comfortable for us. We like a little firmer mattress so it suited us perfectly. It was great to have a/c in the bedroom but we only had to use it one night as the breeze kept us cool enough. I can imagine in the summer the a/c would be needed. It has grown up quite a bit around the house. The place next door was very busy on the weekend but it still didn’t feel too crowded only louder than during the week. Just know that there are houses apartments and small resorts around the property. There are not money changers everywhere like around Cancun area so stop in Merida at an atm before you come down to the area. Most places we went preferred pesos. Violet was very helpful and responsive to our questions. She recommended places close by that could be visited. We loved seeing all the different birds fishing just outside the house and spent quite a bit of time walking the beach. It would be nice to have a few books in the house to change out with the ones we brought. We went to several places close by looking for books but couldn’t find any. We left all our books so maybe that can be the start of a small book exchange library in the house. Overall, we had a great week!. Thank you for sharing your home!

Quite simply a stunning home and right on the beach. We were given a warm welcome by the caretaker and his family when we arrived. The house and pool are so well designed and so tastefully decorated that we often felt we were guests at a hotel. From this gorgeous "home" we ventured to Merida, to the ruins at Uxmal, the ruins at Dzibilatchun, and to see the flamingos at Celestun. Progreso is the nearest town with restaurants and a grocery stores. I ABSOLUTELY recommend this house. It is a very quiet spot -- a few Canadian and American retirees, but many of the rental houses seemed to be used only by local vacationers in the summer. Perfect for those who want to have a very peaceful location with opportunities for day trips throughout the Yucatan. Oh, and the weather is perfect.Hot in the mornings and especially if you like a breeze off the ocean in the afternoon. Lets not mention the shells! If you collect these you can spend your entire moring collecting. Awesome for kids! Wish these two AWESOME weeks can last a life time......we will be back to continue to build awesome memories for our family in the awesome beach retreat.
