Antigua Village Beach Resort

Complesso residenziale (con alcuni alloggi in multiproprietà) tranquillo e pulito. L'appartamento da noi scelto era un fronte mare che ha soddisfatto le nostre aspettative. L’appartamento non è grande ma ha quasi tutti i confort. L’area condizionata solo nella camera da letto (molto piccola). Il patio con il tavolo per pranzare/cenare vale la camera perché si affaccia sul mare. La pulizia della camera era ottima ma spesso andava richiesta in reception. La spiaggia è molto bella ma anche molto piccola. Pochi ombrelloni (gratuiti per gli ospiti).

La clientela è discreta ma in spiaggia è piena di ragazzi che fumano erba. Viaggiando con un bambino in alcuni momenti era davvero imbarazzante e dovevamo spostarci. La maggior parte dei ragazzifumatori viene dal vicino Siboney o da fuori ma anche la clientela interna non scherza. Il mare è bello ma l'acqua non è limpida per fare snorkeling. Il colore è stupendo ma non è trasparente. Nel complesso il posto è bello ma non ci tornerei per la clientela. Ci sono strutture più curate e più adatte alle famiglie.

Too many keys and locks , poor WiFi, kitchen needs more accessories. New toaster, glasses (wine, champagne), baking tray, utensils

Right in the middle of Dickensen's bay beachfront, which is a popular destination and a beautiful beach. It is not at all busy in June, the resort was extremely quiet at this time of year. The resort is clean with well maintained grounds with attractive gardens throughout. The Sandal's and Royale resorts adjacent are more active, definitely not objectionable - a good mixture of atmosphere. The pool at Antigua village beach resort is very well maintained and relaxing. The staff are all professional, friendly, helpful and pleasant. The grocery shop on site is limited in supplies but is adequate and the staff are very friendly as well. Grocery store is just a few miles away for supplies. Anna's was closed so no ideas on it. The restaurants to the left of the resort when you face the ocean are expensive and not quite as friendly faced, but could have been isolated, the food was very good nevertheless. I'm only reviewing the resort, there are plenty of other resources for touristy stuff, with everyone being a travel writer nowadays. Chaotic St John's to the opposite end of the island offer enormous contrasts for anyone's tastes, rent a car but BE CAREFUL

The room I was given was in really rough shape. S17 is very much in need of a once over for the insane amount I was charged. I expected much better quality for the money I forked out for two weeks. The suite was really a huge let down, i nicknamed it 'the single men's hostel', take everything with a grain of salt and make the best of it! Broken window cranks, screens that are falling apart - no mosquitoes luckily. So much for cooking with the quality of the cookware, had to unclog the bathroom sink swallowing down vomit urges. This is bare bones, you may find better deals for bare bones or fork out a few more dollars for all inclusive. Antigua is very expensive, not a complaint just a fact of life. I peeked into a few other suites on the resort - unoccupied of course! and there are some much nicer suites in this resort so I may have just been unlucky.
