SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS. What else can I say. The owners are just great hosts. Everything you might need is there. Very clean, spacious and most perfect views. Should you want a place to relax to the Max, this is the place. This home has the WOW Factor. Can you tell WE loved it? And when you get there, say hi to WALLY. Enjoy.

There are so many positives about this beautiful home & Deb the owner, I don’t know where to start!!
6 siblings with 4 significant others had lots of space. House spotlessly clean & well stocked, the decks & beach were awesome! Many campfires on the beach & we all swam in chilly but beautiful Lake Superior!
Deb was beyond attentive & guided us with great suggestions… our family bucket list trip was one we will always treasure.
Thank you Deb! I so hope we can return one day!

The view of Lake Superior from the deck, the wooden chair seating area, and the sandy beach offer different perspectives of the Big lake: all lovely and relaxing. The home has everything you need. You can watch tv if for some reason you get sick of the lake. There are two places to eat in Big Bay, and Marquette is only 30 minutes away and offers breweries and restaurants. Many hiking opportunities and water falls are a short drive from the property, and the host reached out several times to make sure there were no issues. I witnessed 5 unique sunsets of hazy orange, bright red, cloudy nothing, crimson red, and a rainy pink explosion of lightning and thunder. 5 star stay. I would do it again.

This spacious house was perfect for our Big Bay vacation! Obviously the star of the show is the private, sandy beach on Lake Superior - we relaxed to the sound of the waves on the beach and enjoyed the beautiful views of both sunrises and sunsets. We also enjoyed the many amenities. Indoors - a well stocked kitchen, clean bathrooms (one with heated floors!), AC units, laundry, and games for family time. Outdoors - several sitting areas, fire pit, sauna, and kayaks. The hosts were amazing - very friendly and ready to answer any questions, both before and during our stay. Already have our week booked for next year!

The home and the host were amazing! The host was very helpful in providing recommendations locally. The home was beautiful right on the lake. The only problem i had was the week i went it was very cold for the area in June.

This property and owner are perfect if you want to enjoy some time on the shores of this planet’s greatest lake. Kitchen facilities have everything you need and they have both a gas and “green egg” style grill. Seriously: kayaks, outdoor sauna, beautiful beach, porches, chairs, perfect lake view with sunrise and sunset, great WiFi (and Verizon signal) right in the middle of spectacular Big Bay. And these owners know how to accommodate their guests…even with treats that go beyond what is expected. Close to the small town of Big Bay and just a little more than a half hour to the outskirts of Marquette.

The only negative was getting the snowmobiles to the trails, had to trailer to the trails. The host is amazing and so is the home.

I guess that we really like this place because it's our third time back. The house is laid out perfectly with multiple quiet spots when we need a break from each other. The scenic view from the back porch is very relaxing. And the addition of the AC in the large common area and bedroom was an unexpected benefit on the hot days.
As always the snacks were well appreciated! And ease of using the kayaks was a much better experience versus other places.

We continue to come back to this gem because it is just that! The owners are warm and welcoming answering any questions we may have. Weather you enjoy beautiful hikes, biking or just relaxing you have the ability to do it all. It really is the perfect UP experience.

Breath Taking
This is an A+++ property. We loved it so much last year we booked it right away for this year's vacation. Quiet private beach. Beautiful home. Lots of sleeping quarters. Washer/Dryer big plus - and air condition that isn't usually needed in northern MI but we were glad we had it 1 day. You can't help but have a wonderful trip here.

A perfect vacation
We loved this place. It was everything you could ask for in a vacation home. A beautiful home and a beautiful location. We felt the attention and effort that the host made to make sure we had the best stay from the homemade dessert in the refrigerator, a basket of snacks and an immaculate luxurious home. We definitely hope to return.

Carrot Cake For The Win!
From the time we booked this property until we drove out of the driveway on our last day, everything was just perfect. Pictures really don't do complete justice to how nice of a home this family shares with us. I believe this is the first time in years I didn't take photos on vacation. I guess I was enjoying my surroundings too much! Big Bay is like watching a new movie every single day. It changes quickly with the weather and became more awe inspiring as the week went on. Had a bonfire on the beach - at sunset - our last night and it will always be one of my favorite memories in life. A neighbor's sweet pup even came by with his ball and got me to play catch for a while. To understand how perfectly detailed Deb and Steve are, I must have mentioned my husbands birthday in the comments when we booked - so Deb and Steve even had a birthday cake in the refrigerator for my him when we arrived! My husband looked at me and said you told her Carrot Cake is my FAVORITE? I said OMG ~ I didn't even know that you liked Carrot Cake! This place sets the bar pretty high in our book. Thank you for sharing your home, and for the wonderful memories.

A perfect peaceful getaway
This house has absolutely everything you could want in a vacation home and more. It comfortably fit my 8 children, my spouse, and myself. There are a ton of board games to play on rainy days. The internet connection was good enough to allow us to talk to South Korea. We took advantage of their 3 kayaks and life vests and kayaked in the perfectly clear Lake Superior. The kitchen is fully stocked with not just pots and pans and dishes, but also spices. It was perfect.

The owners put a lot of investment in every corner of the house. New appliances, great beds and bedding, heated bathroom floor, rain showers, and entertainment in every corner of the house. The kids bunk room was a blast and the master bedroom and bathroom were amazing. We didn't want to leave. We'd love to see it in the summer.

View was breathtaking and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Deborah kept in contact and was always available and very welcoming. I can't recommend this place enough. Pictures don't do this place justice. We went sight seeing and hiking everyday and never had to travel more than 30 minutes for something new. So many amazing waterfalls and hiking trails nearby. The beach was very nice and sandy, not rough and rocky like so many other areas of Lake Superior that we've experienced.

Peace and Quiet
Love this property! It’s a warm, family friendly home away from home. The owner makes you feel welcome, leaving yummy homebaked goodies! The kitchen is well stocked! When something broke ( door handle) it was repaired promptly. The location, on a sandy beach of Lake Superior, is summertime perfect for a little peace and quiet!

Incredible
This cottage had everything. Breath taking view, gorgeous beach, private setting, well stocked kitchen and so much more. I felt like I was at the spa in the master bath- heated floors, high end toiletries, plants hanging over the rain shower. Lots of games. Beach towels and chairs provided. We were even greeted with fresh baked goods. We have been renting cottages around the UP for 14 years and this one takes 1st prize. We will definitely be back!

I can’t imagine finding a better place to stay in the Big Bay Area than this home. Very clean and spacious with beautiful views all around. The owners provide so many extras to make your stay feel like being at home.

Exceptional
The property and hostess are AMAZING. Deborah was easy to communicate with and took care of all of our needs. She checked in daily to see how it was going. The property is well cared for and exceeded all of our expectations. The community is super friendly as well, as evidenced by waving and "hellos" where ever we walked. Great hiking nearby and we saw dear just walking our dogs down the road. Can't wait to return!

The home owners were available whenever we needed them and were very accommodating. The lake views from the house are incredible. My only criticism is that the location of this house is somewhat far from town. If we weren’t enjoying the house it was about 45 minutes to drive to Marquette. Overall though, very pleased.

Warm and homey
Pictures don’t do this house justice. It’s well laid out and comfortable. The kitchen is modern with all the tools. The master bath has a heated floor which was much appreciated on chilly September mornings. We also used and enjoyed the wood burning sauna and the kayaks! The master bed mattress was very comfortable. The kids loved the bunk beds and giant box of LEGO’s. The owner check in regularly to make sure all was going well. I will admit originally this home was not my first choice, but it is now!

180 degree view of beautiful Lake Superior, through the homes living area and outdoor patio. Your own Great private beach. 2 person sauna. Excellent host. Who has stocked the home with everything you may need and is quick to respond anytime you need something. We definitely hope to stay here again. Highly recommend

Outstanding Location, Home, Experience, and Hosts
This property is awesome! Beautiful home right on the beach. Large home fully outfitted for all your needs. Hosts have thought of everything and have furnished the home appropriately. They even provided some special items for a special event we were having. Gave a wonderful personal touch. You feel comfortable from the minute you walk in the door. You will hate to leave when your time is over. We will definitely return. Thannk you for a wonderful vacation.

Pictures do not do it justice!
From the beginning this has been an easy process with lots of communication from the owners. They were warm and welcoming even leaving us a welcome basket with treats. The house was PERFECT for two families (ages 13 to 8) with plenty of room to space out. However we were not inside much as the views and the beach were just stunning. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook most of our meals in making it a true home away from home. The place was everything we had hoped for and more. We can’t wait to go back again next year.
