Our five-night stay at apartment 134 at the Stella Maris in eManzimtoti, could not have been more spectacular. Logi and her hubby were phenomenal hosts and are amazing people. They went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Apartment 134 is basic but spacious and super clean with reliable WiFi. It has a balcony and 180° views of the Indian Ocean. It is absolutely breathtaking. If you are acrophobic or have hyper-active kids, take note that the apartment is on the 13th floor and that sliding doors open onto a balcony. All the rooms are ocean-facing and the sea breeze and sound of the waves breaking and crashing on the beach is a constant reminder that you are very close to experiencing heaven on Earth. I have never slept better. The bed in the main bedroom is super comfy. At night you can sleep with the sliding doors open. Total bliss! The apartment caters for all your self-catering needs. The kitchen is adequately equipped with basic appliances and the fridge is massive. Read the description of the apartment on bookings.com so that you know what is provided and what you’ll need to supply yourself, like towels, coffee and sugar, etc. It’s always good practice to bring your own adapters for charging electronic devices as all wall sockets in the apartment are three pinned. If you are unsure about anything, contact Logi for clarification. She’ll be just too happy to assist you. What adds to the joy of staying at Stella Maris, is its sparkling private pool, tidy braai area and its location – practically on the beach and walking distance from shops, excellent restaurants and take-ways. To recap – if endless sea views, the sound of crashing waves, excellent hospitality and good security are what you are looking for in a holiday – book apartment 134 at Stella Maris. Hostess was very welcoming, made us feel at home, she kept on checking how we were doing. The apartment is spacious and fully furnished. It is in a safe area. It has clean comfortable beds, a big fridge which allowed us to keep all our food refrigerated. I would go back there when the need arises.

I would have liked a dishwashing soap in the kitchen instead of a sanitiser and a handwash in the bathroom. The iron is not hot enough for cotton fabric.
