Bar was ok,
restaurant is dated and very tired. Needs updating. Room - nowhere for a suitcase apart from the floor,
v small towels. No shelves in bathroom. Sink too small. Beds small singles. Very poor

The cleanliness was very poor.
Stained bed, floor, wall. Hairs in bed. Handle missing from toilet door. Filthy stair carpet. Budget value breakfast. Parking impossible with family sized car.

Breakfast was lovely.
We were 😊 with everything. They did everything to make us comfortable ( considering the sweltering temperatures) & welcome.
Everyone was friendly & chitty chatted with us & gave us their attention even though they were very busy.

Rooms were clean and very central in the town
They are very short staffed. Evening meal took over an hour to come and the two bar staff were also waiting.
Whilst rooms were clean, the common areas such as the stairs, were filthy.

Lovely location middle of town, rooms were good size and ideal being upstairs in the pub. No need to walk around looking for evening meal. Breakfast was cooked fresh. Highly recommend this place. Lovely beer garden and parking around the back. We also had an elderly man with us, we forgot the battery for his scooter. Sorted a wheelchair out from the local doctors. Then following day borrowed one from elan visitors Centre so we could take him around. Got to say Rhayader is a fabulous friendly place to stay. See you again
Would of been nice to here background music in the pub. We were in there restaurant, no music in there as well.

Breakfast was fine, a little slow with the coffee, But the couple running the show were new and the place was very busy.
They were very pleasant and helpful. in time they will be fully on it. Lovely pub.
Well to be honest we had a lovely time there and would return, only comment really our bed was not made up in the three nights we stayed. not really a problem, just normally when away our room is serviced.

Room good, all clean and tidy and food good value. Handy parking for our two touring motorcycles. Ideal for an overnight stop.

No internet connection, in process of upgrading. Bathroom small. Noise from ajacant bathroom shower pump very noisy.

Great little hotel / pub, staff were v helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and large with excellent tea / coffee facilities, evening meal in the restaurant was great. Breakfast was superb. Overall a great night's stay and will use the hotel again next time we are in the area. Recommended unreservedly.

I stayed with my daughters aged 8 and 5. Hotel is easy to find, located in central Rhayader. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Comfortable beds, room was nice and warm. Would recommend for families.

Stayed for 1 night after a long day taking in the sights of the Elan valley. Staff were absolutely fabulous, very friendly and welcoming. Evening meal was really good, reasonably priced, proper pub grub. The room was as expected, spotless clean bedding and bathroom. It Is a little noisy when showers or plumbing in use but this did not bother us at all. Breakfast was spot on. Overall we loved the friendly atmosphere and location of it and we were certainly be back!!

No heating in the room so cold for the time of year. Beds not made in the morning. Pillow very thin could have been replaced or used better quality

Good location in Wales, done the job for 4 motorbikers.
A weird smell of "drains" in and around cummunial toilets, but then other pubs etc in the area was very similar.

Staff very friendly. The room was a good size, light and airy with good views . Food was very good and reasonably priced. Perfectly placed for visiting the Elan Valley.

The room was quiet
No chairs to sit in and had to sit uncomfortably on bed not ideal.
The bed dipped one side so feels like yr going to fall out.
Too many steps and definitely not disabled friendly. Lights on timer and went off before could get to the top. So had to feel our way up and down. Bathroom very basic and not the cleanest I've seen. No blinds so had to close curtains and put light on. Very overlooked into nxt doors property. No parking either pop luck if you can find a place to park anywhere.
